One of 150 lakes in an area the size of Jersey, there's so much to explore and something for everyone. Wildlife, watersports, activities, great eateries, walking, history and culture are just some of the things you will find nearby. The lake house itself has been stylishly renovated to mirror its setting, offering super lake views from inside and out. Downstairs, it's fully open plan complemented by stunning bi-folding doors that stretch across the back of the house. They ensure the house is filled with calm and tranquil light whilst showing the lake off in all its charming glory. An ever changing picture of water-skiers, swans and rippling water can be enjoyed from the comfort of the sofa, or fold the doors back and the living area takes on a new and exciting feel. The outside space becomes an extension to the house, providing the perfect spot for sizzling steaks on the barbecue. Or simply sitting back to enjoy lakeside life while your own hot tub bubbles invitingly and watch the world go by. Upstairs there is a large master bedroom with a full length window overlooking the lake, allowing you the same stunning views, two further bedrooms and a family bathroom. Extra care has been taken for families, and you will find lots of special touches around the house if you are planning on taking the little ones. The light bright interiors with family-friendly luxuries are added bonuses, whilst the fact that there's a spa, golf course, water sports centre, bike hire and routes, plus a choice of restaurants and pubs, within a short, scenic walk really sets it apart. Although, for most young families, the fact that the UK's largest inland beach with a purpose built toddler paddling and playground area is within a 10-15 minute stroll is the icing on the cake. Bifold doors open out onto a private deck with superb lake views. A U-shaped kitchen with breakfast bar and stools is set slightly apart from the living area. Shower room with WC First floor: Master bedroom with 5′ king size bed and a pretty Juliette balcony with amazing views over the lake. There is also room for a cot. Double bedroom with 4'6″ bed. Twin bedroom with 2'6″ beds which can convert into a kingsize bed. Family bathroom with a bath, overhead shower and children's bathing accessories. EQUIPMENT Electric wall heaters Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer-dryer Flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player WiFi internet access THE LOCATION Along with its lakeside setting one of the house's greatest assets is the amount that there is to see and do nearby for families and young children. Within a minute's stroll is the Lakeside Brassiere which boasts a family friendly sports bar, a relaxed family restaurant with a sun terrace overlooking the lake. A fully air conditioned gym is located above the brasserie with a range of equipment. Should you be staying for a prolonged period a monthly membership can be purchased, but the gym also offers a highly reasonable single use fee option. Within 50 metres of the lodge is a large children's play area with climbing frame, monkey bars and fireman pole. Lakeside Ski & Wake offer wakeboard and waterski lessons on the lake, plus sessions as well as fun rides for all the family on their ringos and other inflatables. Ok the location and views from the property are amazing, however cleanliness was very poor, we ended up purchasing products so we could clean all bathrooms. Obvoiusly pet friendly which is nice but every guest thereafter does not wish to come into contact with pet...More
