Holiday Rental House
The Coach House is a luxury two bed cottage in a private courtyard on the edge of Bath. Just like our other properties, the Saltings (174775), the Old Workshop (252945) and Mulsanne House (274673), the Coach House is finished to a very high standard, ideal for a romantic get-away, a relaxing break or a base for all the many sights of the area. The accommodation is flexible, so the property is suitable and cost effective for between one and four people. Amongst the many compliments from our last English Tourist Board inspection were, 'outstanding levels of housekeeping were demonstrated'. But our many 5 star testimonials from our guests speak for themselves. The accommodation is flexible, so the property is suitable and cost effective for between one and four people. Amongst the many compliments from our last English Tourist Board inspection were, 'outstanding levels of housekeeping were demonstrated'. But our many 5 star testimonials from our guests speak for themselves. One of the main attractions of the Coach House are the stunning views at the rear of the river Avon and the beautiful hills surrounding Bath. John and Jane's efforts with their previous properties has resulted in overwhelmingly positive reviews, with many guests writing long letters of thanks which include such comments as 'the best beds we have ever slept on' and 'to a much higher standard than any self catering property we have ever stayed in'. Jane and John are determined to ensure the Coach House is at the highest level and the reactions from guests suggest this is achieved. Solid oak flooring, skirtings and architraves add an immediate feeling of quality, quickly reiterated by the sumptuous feel of underfloor heating. There is a luxury oak painted kitchen, an ensuite shower room and main bathroom. The bedrooms can be made up as doubles or twins, making the property suitable for any combination of guests from 1 to 4. A single person, one couple, two couples or parents with 1 or 2 children or a group of friends. Just let us know. If you use only one bedroom/bathroom, the costs are less! You can walk to the river Avon in a few minutes and a lovely riverside pub from where you can take a beautiful boat trip into the City of Bath. The surrounding countryside is easily accessed, by car, public transport, bike or on foot. The courtyard in Batheaston is just on the edge and ten minutes drive from the City of Bath. There is a bus stop on the High Street outside the courtyard, so you don't even need a car. The luxurious four bed 'Mulsanne House' and our other 4 properties can also be rented in conjunction with this property to sleep 23 in total. Please enquire for details. The Coach House has a Tesla charging point. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 617701More

The advertising material here pretty much tells you what to expect and there were no surprises for us. If your interests lay in or around Bath or the Cotswolds this is a modern, well-located and comfortable place to stay. We took the one-bedroom, two-bathroom only...More

Super transport links into Bath. Lovely river trip. All in all a great Base. Was very warm in double bedroom. Would have preferred a window that opened. A garden would have made this almost perfect. ( I realise that a garden is impossible at this...More

Thanks Rhona. Glad you enjoyed it overall. As you saw there is no space for a garden as such though we have the nice car parking area by the oak tree with plant, flowers and lighting . It was particularly warm when you came. Normally...More

About the neighbourhood
Bath is a World Heritage tourist destination, its history dating back to pre Roman times. It is now acknowledged as the second most popular tourist destination in England and the 4th most popular in the UK. Renowned Georgian architecture rivalling that of Paris, Venice or Rome has been enhanced in recent years with the addition of the £45+million Thermae Bath Spa, Britain's only natural thermal spa, featuring the natural mineral waters which first attracted the Romans, who named Bath, Aquae Sulis. Thermaebathspaoffers every kind of luxury pampering experience, including the open air roof top hot bath, which is not to be missed. But it's not just about history and architecture. Bath has some of the best shopping, eating and drinking experiences to be had. The Southgate shopping area has...
Getting around
We are very lucky to have excellent transport links of all kinds, especially the bus stop on the road outsidse the courtyard. Guests find this the most convenient way to access the City, bypassing much of the trafiic with bus lanes. On average it takes about 10 minutes to the City. Most guests leave their cars in our car park and use the bus for the duration of their stay. But perhaps the most popular way to access the City is by water! Just 10 minutes walk from the property is the Bathampton Mill where you may catch one of a number of river buses into the City from March to Oct. It is a beautiful way to see Bath from another angle. Return to Batheaston by bus. For those arriving by train, a taxi will bring you to us for less than £10
