The large farmhouse of I Moricci overlooks the high valley of the river Era, a tributary of the Arno, a few kilometers from Volterra, among golden hills of wheat, vineyards and olive groves, where history and nature meet. Its location, truly in the heart of Tuscany, makes it an excellent starting point to visit not only the most important art cities of the region but also to get to know a sincere Tuscany still far from the tourist contaminations. In 1998 the company of the Rosselli del Turco family, owner of these lands since the seventeenth century, has embarked on a new path introducing the organic farming method and opening the old Leopoldian style farmhouse to its guests. The Moraiolo apartment is located on the ground floor. The Moraiolo apartment is located on the ground floor. It consists of two large rooms and a bathroom with a shower. The entrance is directly in the living room kitchen, where there is a comfortable double sofa bed. The kitchen is well equipped with a four-burner stove, a microwave oven, a fridge with freezer and a toaster. The very large room has a double bed and a single bed. It is possible to comfortably add a baby bed. Very rich from the architectural point of view having saved the beautiful cross vaults.More

we reserved this farmhouse based on location (between Pisa and Florence) but not having any reviews, we took a small chance. We were amazingly surprised! Maria Angeles was a wonderful hostess as well as her doggie MOCCA. We travelled with two young children and our...More
