Stepping inside, you'll get a real feel for the cottage's homely vibe thanks to its bright entrance hall, country cream hues and quarry tiled flooring, with both bedrooms and the family bathroom directly accessible from the entrance hallway. The Kitchen The heart of the home, Milliner's Barn's beautiful kitchen offers guests the feeling of a real farmhouse escape. Exposed beams lining the ceiling and traditional quarry-style flooring afford the space a traditional feel, whilst cream wooden units, bright tiled walls and all of the mod-cons you should need bring it well and truly into the modern day. A central dining table seating up to four guests offers the perfect spot for everything from sleepy breakfasts through to lively evening feasts, whilst the real stunner of the space can be found in its feature AGA. A true throwback to the barn's farmhouse past, keep your eyes peeled for the traditional farm scene created from tiles which acts as the AGA's backdrop; a lovely feature piece adding to the feeling of country charm throughout the property. Living Room Through the kitchen sits the barn's living room; a wonderful space for all of the family to enjoy. High vaulted ceilings, a large exposed stone feature wall and a pretty log burner carry on the traditional rustic feel of the home, brought into the modern day through bright fabrics, contemporary artwork and large, cosy sofas. In here, you'll find a TV and DVD player for entertainment, plus French doors which open directly onto the barn's enclosed outdoor decking area. Bedroom 1 Bedroom 1 sits to the left of the entrance hall, featuring a sink-in 5ft double bed and handy en-suite single shower room. Overlooking the barn's private lawned garden area, the same country feel of the rest of the property can be found inside, with exposed beams, cream walls and bright pops of colour giving it a homely, relaxed vibe. Bedroom 2 The larger bedroom of the house sits on the right-hand side of the entrance hall. A large space offering plenty of room in which to unwind, guests will find a comfortable zip-and-link twin bed for easy configuration, country-cream walls and attractive pine furniture, plus built-in wardrobes, a dressing table and large mirror. Light and bright, the bedroom overlooks a small private courtyard patio; the ideal spot for sundowners or a morning cuppa. Family Bathroom The main bathroom of the cottage sits between both bedrooms, accessed just off the bright entrance hall. In here you'll find a modern over-bath shower with square rain shower head, basin and toilet, plus attractive contemporary tiling courtesy of the black and white floor tiles. Outside Just like its sister property, Field House Cottage, Milliner's Barn benefits from bags of private outdoor space for guests of all ages to enjoy. Alongside the small private suntrap patio which sits aside its main entrance doorway, the rear of the property boasts a private fenced decking area – complete with dining furniture and charcoal BBQ – and can be accessed from the large living area. Leading on from this is a pretty, walled lawn; completely private should you need, but also able to be shared with Field House Cottage if you're staying as a group. Sit back on the decking and relax with an al fresco feast, or let the kids and any doggie visitors run wild on the lawn, safe in the knowledge that they're completely enclosed. Guidebook Chipping Campden Renowned as one of the finest market towns in the Cotswolds, Chipping Campden- just a short 5-minute drive from Weston-sub-Edge- has it all: picture-perfect streets lined with traditional Cotswold stone homes; a vibrant independent retail scene; a plethora of fantastic cafés and restaurants. Originally established all the way back in the 7thcentury, the town rose to prominence in Medieval times as one of Europe's most important wool towns, with its iconic 17thCentury Market Hall still standing proudly in the heart of the High Street. St James' Church, one of the town's most famous landmarks, also still stands strong in the town, enjoying a reputation as one of the greatest ‘wool' churches in the Cotswolds. Brilliantly placed for exploring the North Cotswolds, Chipping Campden itself has more than enough to keep visitors entertained. A fantastic selection of eateries, both relaxed and formal, offer foodies the chance to indulge no matter what the time of day, with a host of great shops, delis and events throughout the calendar year to enjoy. Anyone visiting will have no problem understanding why historian G.M. Trevelyan has described it as, “the most beautiful village street now left on the island.” Sightseeing & Activities History buffs will have more than enough on the doorstep to keep them enMore
