Keys to the lodge will be waiting for you in the key safe for your arrival and you will be allocated your own key security code. There is a folder in the lodge containing all the information you might need on the lodge including emergency contacts, tourism information and local walks. In order to complete the booking process guests will need to send the owner: Their full home address, landline number and mobile number; The names and ages of each member of your party; Confirm that the dogs have recently been wormed, tick/flea treated and are up to date with their vaccinations in the best interests of you, your pets, future guests and local wildlife .

The lodge is suitable for 2 small or 1 medium dog by prior arrangement.
Dogs are welcome - we provide stainless steel feed/water bowls, scented poop bags, a hose to wash off muddy paws and a poop scoop. However, they are not allowed in the bedrooms or on any of the furniture and must not be left unattended in the lodge.

About the neighbourhood
Kippford is a picturesque waterfront village situated on the Colvend Coast where the Water of Urr meets the Solway. It's boat building history lives on through the local chandlery and yachts of the Solway Yacht Club which are moored in the estuary during the Summer months. A lively sailing regatta is held annually and cadet week provides educational fun for younger sailors. The village has two waterfront Inns serving good food and locally brewed ales, an interiors/gift shop that also serves coffee and cakes, a chandlery, it's own RNLI station, slipway, village hall, an artisan pottery and a nine hole golf course with tea room.
Getting around
A car is recommended, although a local bus service runs along the coast road and visits the local villages so is excellent for walkers to use to extend the range.
