Good beach location, the condo is a little tired, a/c in main area was clearly inoperable prior to our arrival - as confirmed by the owners on site agent, after 2-3 Very hot days of “let me try to reset it” they decided to replace the old a/c unit, the crew who arrived to replace the a/c were very courteous, however we had no access to the condo for a full day, all furniture that was moved to accommodate the replacement was left in situ and the promised clean up by the site agent never materialized, so the moving and clean up was left to the paying guests, needless to say this completely took the shine off of what should have been a great beach vacation in a great location in a great country

We had a great time staying here. Room was very clean. The views from every room were amazing. It was a very quite resort. The beach takes you about 1 minute from your door step to having your feet hit the sand. If your looking to book a trip to Panama your crazy not to book this place. The owners are extremely nice and very quick to answer any questions you have.

The apartment was AMAZING!! Completely as advertised!! Clean, comfortable, good amenities. However come prepared to be your own entertainment and cooks. The only restaurants nearby are on the Pan American Hwy in strip malls. There is no local town with quaint restaurants and stores to visit. The stores are all in a mall up the highway. Same store you have at home. The only night life is a small tiki bar on the beach. It is a good 1.5 hours by car from the Tocumen Airport. Renting a car is a great idea. If you do rent the mini wifi hotspot from the car company. This was amazing. We could all connect our phones to it. Used it to find maps and directions. Search the internet.

This was a great stay, I felt like I was in my own home, I wouldn't change one thing, other than far from Panama city, this is the perfect condo

I would highly recommend Tom and Karen's place. We stayed there for 2 weeks and wish it was longer. Very quiet area but yet close to many attractions. The people in the condo's were very nice and made us feel like we belonged. The condo was well equipped and had all of the luxuries of home. Highly recommended.

This is just what you want when your coming down from Canada 🇨🇦. It’s an absolutely beautiful place to be. The views were beautiful of the ocean and the Gorgona area. The apartment was spacious and had all the amenities you need. It was clean and the furniture was in good shape. We found the bed very comfortable. I highly recommend this apt to our friends and family. The downside is you need a car to get groceries or take cabs. The cabs were reasonable at 5$ to Coranado. The people here are friendly and have a family feeling. We would definitely come back.

Had a wonderful time and enjoyed the amazing views from the 19th floor of Playa Serena Condo over looking Gorgona beach. Tom and Karen Szewezyk are the wonderful owners of condo D on the 19th floor. They gave us plenty of suggestions and information about the condo along with the area. We enjoyed the local restaurants, La Ruina and Bahia Tiki bar were pretty much our favorites the staff and atmosphere were very relaxing. Our Big adventure for a day was an ATV Excursion with El Valle Mountain Tours to visit the jungle mountain waterfalls. We loved to see the locals and all the little shops, over all a fantastic experience and hope to return in the near future.

Booked this condo through TripAdvisor for first week of April. The owner Tom was very helpful with his communications and had everything you needed in there. The driver he set us up with was TRULY a gem (Oscar Rodriguez), that spoke excellent english and I can't praise him enough as he was the highlight of the entire trip!! The condo was perfect as we all had our own rooms with comfy beds and top notch air conditioning & closet space. The balcony, a bit on the small size, had great views in either direction. The condo is close enough to a little market that you can walk. The condo building next door had a restaurant, while the food was just OK (edible) and the waiter/waitresses spoke little to no English, the view is great (right over beach). We spent some hours on the beach where the guy working there would get a couple lounges or chairs for us (I would get a couple more of those cushions for the condo as the lounges were pretty hard without cushions). The beach was empty for the most part & very nice to just sit and watch the various water birds and the waves crashing!! We had Oscar take us for the day to see the jungle (hummingbird sanctuary & monkeys), saw a huge container ship come through the new section of the Canal, Gatun Lake (had a closer encounter with a couple capuchin monkeys, and then late lunch/early dinner in Casco Viejo (Casablanca). I could have spent at least half the day there walking through the narrow streets and admiring the restored homes & restoration process of others... It was a very long day but Oscar went above & beyond fantastic customer service!! He was very knowledgeable!! For local driving Oscar even set us up with a local guy for going out to dinners named Tony Gomez (his English was a bit rough) who was very nice & prompt!! Thank God Tom had a pre-paid cell phone in the condo because AT&T apparently never updated my international calling portion of my service. We didn't even use the AC in the living room as the WIND on the 19th floor is intense and refreshing!! OK now for the down-sides: There was a young man at security that gave me a hard time about getting a driver to go to dinner on Sunday night... I noted his name was Joel... I assumed he was kidding about not being able to get me a taxi at 5:30... but he batted his eyes at me and said "No". (this is how Oscar led us to Tony). I think the reaction would have been totally different had my father been with us 2 women. The brown bath, hand towels were very skunky even after we washed them. We wound up using the beige & striped beach towels. The area is very quiet unless its a weekend so the first 2 nights the music was blasting but with windows closed & AC pumping it didn't keep us awake. Apparently Panama has a garbage issue... not only was there garbage everywhere we went but it seems to be the norm for everyone to burn their garbage in their yards (not so pleasant). All in all it was a great time - Condo is highly recommendable... Thank you again Tom!!

We arrived at Tom and Karen's condo on Feb 2, 2017 and stayed for a month. We loved it from the minute we walked in. The apartment was well furnished, lots of dishes and kitchen equipment, great TV channels and Netflix, plus free phone calls home to Canada. What more could you ask for. Being on the 19th floor gave us an amazing view of ocean and mountains.With an open window on one side of the apartment and sliding door on deck partially opened we received a refreshing breeze throughout the day. No air con needed most days and only used in at night in the bedroom. The condo has three spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We loved the common areas and enjoyed sitting on the beach out front and watching the sun set. We would definitely stay there again. Tom and Karen's condo get a 2 thumbs up! Definitely 5 Stars! My husband, 9 year old daughter and I stayed at the condo for a week. The pictures do not justify the views. One side the ocean the other views of the mountain. We felt very welcomed when we got there. We enjoyed all of the amenities that were included. Tom thought of everything. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is the place to stay. Thanks Tom!
