It was perfect. Everything on one level and everything to hand. Although we live only across the yard it felt as we were on holiday ourselves.

A splendid place to stay!
The Stable is on the edge of the countryside in Stourton, not far from Stourbridge. The Stable is in a secluded area, so it is private and very quiet. It's perfect for two persons: fully equipped kitchen, sitting area with telly, bedroom with comfy double bed, and bathroom with shower. Everything (heating, water pressure, etc.) works perfectly. My wife and I have stayed at The Stable on two occasions (Nov. 2018 and May 2019). A short walk down the lane to Kingsway gets you to the number 8 bus, and you're in Stourbridge Town in 10 minutes. Linda and Mick are great hosts and will help with anything you might need.

Cosy and convenient for Stourbridge and the countryside, and very welcoming.
A cosy cabin for two with easy access to Stourbridge and it's canal (2 mins across a field) which led directly to open countryside one way, and towards Birmingham the other. Lots to do in the local area, with good pubs and very welcoming hosts. I'm sure that we will return again before long.

In common with previous visits excellent accommodation and location with a personal touch.
Excellent accommodation and facilities found in a wonderful location. The location provides easy access to all the must see places of interest associated with this most friendly area of England. Areas including those related to the history of the Black Country, the Seven Valley plus numerous interesting towns and villages which are surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. The area is well known for it's excellent food and drink giving great value for money plus access to great real ales such as Bathams. The owners Linda and Mick live close by and provide fantastic support and thus ensure you have a wonderful stay.

Very comfortable and convenient
A very comfortable place just for two. We were snug and warm. A good place for walking as the canal is very close. Mick and Linda ( the owners) next door are lovely and very helpful. We loved the area, so much to do.

Mr
Great location, great owners, very friendly. Stables was romantic for two people, cosy with fireplace & Victorian bed. Strongly recomend staying in the Barn aswell (as we got the chance to stay in both the barn and stables) especially if you've got family and friends near by as there's plenty of room to entertain people & a cool jukebox. Beautiful gardens and close to canal walks.

About the neighbourhood
Our reviews will tell of the friendly nature of this area. Many dog walkers pass the gates on the way to the canal and often stop to say hello. Just 3 minutes away from Wollaston village with its pubs and takeaway restaurants it is tucked away and right on the edge of the lovely countryside and the bluebell wood, New Wood.
Getting around
Bus stop 3 minutes away with buses every half and hour into Stourbridge. Train station in Stourbridge with links to the entire UK. A couple of local taxi services in Stourbridge.

Car not needed
How to get there
Hyperion Road is marked on the GPS signal. It is a P shaped Road. Drive into the road and go straight ahead. The road bends down a hill with the horse fields on the left. At the bottom it flattens out. Go straight ahead and you you will see, next to a bungalow, an open gate leading to a Lane. Go to the bottom of the Lane and turn left to the electric gates. If we are not around then there is a key safe next to the window nearest to our wooden gate in The Lane. Code to be advised.
