'Wow!' is the first word everyone utters on arrival! The views are spectacular after your challenging last quarter mile approach up the narrow lane. So Beautiful! So private and secluded! So open in the day time, so cosy at night. The views you cannot imagine! There is a double room (with brand new king size memory foam bed), en-suite room with a victorian style roll-top bath. Also a cosy twin room and a double sofa bed in the sitting room, so 6 can stay. We have a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and a round dining table with six chairs. There is a lovely woodburning stove and also good electric radiators and wall mounted fan heaters in the bathrooms. The woodburner will be made up for your first fire, and you will need to bring more wood with you for the next fires. There is...'Wow!' is the first word everyone utters on arrival! There are lovely walks along a beautiful beach. The famous Ty Coch pub is a 10 min drive away or about an hour and a half walk around the beach and headland. Be careful of the tides. Take a sketchbook/paints! The sloping garden and some old out buildings make it inadvisable for disabled people or very young children unless supervised in the garden. Your well behaved dog is welcome, but the garden is not dog-proof so they can easily get out into the field. Terry our wonderful gardener will, during the peak season, need to cut the lawns whilst guests are staying. Hi is very considerate and tries to check that guests are out when he cuts. He won't start too early in the morning, but please be understanding that there is no other time for him to do the garden. If you give him enough notice, he can supply you with logs. He loves a cup of tea.. white no sugar! Whilst we have Sky broadband, which serves us well most of the time, I cannot take responsibility for any loss of service due to Sky or BT, but I will do what I can to help if it goes down. I can provide the telephone number and all details to talk to Sky between 7am and 11pm. If there is a problem call me and I will get back to you as soon as I can..More

We spent a couple of days for our wedding anniversary and a "big" birthday here last October. It's the perfect spot if you want to "stop the world and get off" as we did. Fran was the perfect hostess, and couldn't fault her communication. We're...More

We spent a great week at Morawel with it's fantastic views and despite cool weather in September we enjoyed the deck and of course the wood burning stove. Despite the garden being described as not secure our partially blind 15 year old dog managed well...More

Thank you so much Simon. So glad you had a lovely time. Happy that your dog enjoyed his confines. I like to state the downsides so that people are pleasantly surprised! Hope to host you again sometime!

Thank you so much Joanne. I am so glad you had a lovely stay, and yes we always try and stock up en route, so that we can spend all our holiday holidaying, not shopping! All the best, Fran

Fran was a pleasure to deal with, very friendly and efficient. We arrived, gratefully, during Storm Desmond. Access up the lane was better than billed. The chalet is clearly a family property and much loved, with great care taken to make it cosy and inviting....More

About the neighbourhood
villagey. friendly, a bit remote with amazing views.
How to get there
FROM PWLLHELI OR PORTHMADOG: Follow signs to Nefyn. You will arrive at a roundabout with nothing but a large pub, the Bryncynan Inn on the corner in front of you. Turn right to Nefyn (NOT to Morfa Nefyn) -Go through the village of Nefyn. Go straight over the mini roundabout in the village and around a couple of bends until out of the village you see Aberavon Holiday Park on your left. Opposite is a farm and just after is a dead-end turning to the right, with a 'Welcome to Nefyn' sign on the right of the turning. UP THE LANE: It has no steet name. Turn up this lane (We find getting into first gear is best in our laden people-carrier) and at the top take the right fork. Go past Llewyn Ffynnon Cottage on the right and carry on up and around just a few metres. Immediately on the right is a b...
