Unreservedly recommended. The house is located in the nice little town of Sandgate, next to Folkestone. The spotlessly clean house can comfortably accommodate two families. The garden is wonderful; it was so nice that we were tempted to stay there sunbathing and not go exploring. The beech is a stone's throw away from the bottom of the garden. There are nice little boutique shops close by. Major grocery stores are a short bus or taxi ride away in Folkestone. We ,all six of us ,had a great time!

We stayed here with some friends this weekend just past. We had a great time. The house itself is very nice. It's on a very busy road, but the windows do a great job of keeping out the noise. The downside to being on the road is there is no parking. You need to park in a car park over the road. This is fine, but we got two parking tickets while we were there (we're challenging them, but there you are) The house itself is lovely inside. There are indeed two lounges, but you get to one through the other - we'd planned to put our son in there, but it wasn't really practical. On the first floor are two bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. The beds are very comfortable indeed. One is a double, one a double with a single. The house is nicely decorated, and has agreeably wonky floors (as you get in old houses). It's stylish and very very comfortable. Excellent beds. On the second floor is a twin room and a further bathroom. Back downstairs and you have the main lounge, with a large TV and woodburner. Through that is a large room that is second lounge, kitchen and diner. This is where we spent most of our time. The chairs are comfy, the kitchen is fine. There is no dishwasher, and the place could do with a bit more equipment. But it's fine. The garden is the highlight. As you can see from the pictures, it goes down to the beach. You'll book here if you want to sit with a G&T at sunset, or while the kids hunt for stones, or while you just watch the waves. It's fabulous. Sandgate is a pleasant little town, and there is a seafront path that takes you to Folkestone harbour (which has been done up and is very nice). It's maybe 2 -2.5 miles. We had an absolutely wonderful time here. The house is great (although a dishwasher would be nice). The setting is brilliant. We would definitely recommend and go back.
