If you are looking for a holiday in the Scottish Highlands with a touch of luxury then look no further..... The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and has 3 bedrooms and 3 shower rooms, 2 of which are en-suite. It is ideally suited to families of all ages.

The cottage is situated in the rural Easter Ross village of Saltburn, by the shores of the Cromarty Firth. From the front there are splendid open views towards the Black Isle. It's on the shoreline of the Cromarty Firth that a variety of wildlife can often be seen and a walk along the beach will always be interesting.

About the neighbourhood
The towns of Alness and Invergordon are within a few miles of the cottage have plenty to offer in the way of shops, coffee shops and restaurants. There is plenty lovely scenery to enjoy in the area with Fyrish hill walk 6 miles drive. There are many forest tracks nearby and offer good locations for mountain biking, walking. There is plenty off fishing to be had in the area with the River Averon 5 miles away.

Mountain biking is popular sport in the highlands. There are bike tracks in Fort William and Laggen. Both of these locations are approximately 1.5 hours drive away from the cottage. There is also good mountain biking terrain around the Aviemore and Speyside area (1 hour drive) where there is hire shops and instruction.

The village of Saltburn is located 25 miles north of the city of Inverness (main highland capital). Inverness is 3 or 4 hours drive north of Edinburgh on the main A9 road.

Once you arrive in Inverness follow the A9 road north across the Kessock bridge. Continue on this road for 20miles approximately. Look out for a turn off sign on your left that says 'Invergordon Saltburn'. Turn off to your left 0.5 miles after this sign. You will immediately come to a small roundabout and you turn left at this roundabout and follow the sign for Invergordon. Stay on this road (B817) for 4 miles. You will come to Invergordon where all the oil rigs and ships are on your right hand side. Stay on the B817. The road follows the sea for another 1.5 mile and then you will come to traffic lights.
