About the neighbourhood
The house is located on the banks of the river, two minutes walk from the port of Dinan, where you can find some attractive riverside cafes and restaurants serving good traditional French and Breton food. During the season , you can explore the river Rance by self drive boat or take a boat trip to the old citadel port of St. Malo. You can also get out into the country by the cycle path which runs along the river up to the village of Taden, or going the other way, all the way to Rennes. The port is linked to the historic town centre of Dinan by the steep Jerzual hill - about 10 minutes on foot if you are reasonably fit! The town of DInan has been remarkably well preserved and contains many beautiful old buildings, as well as a medieval castle and impressive stone ramparts with ...
How to get there
Dinan is easily reached from the port of St Malo or the nearby airport of Dinard ( Ryanair offer very low cost flights from the UK) , both are within about 40 minutes drive. The Ferry ports of Roscoff , Cherbourg and Caen are all within 2 hours easy drive on Frances well maintained road network.
