Holiday Rental House
Our recently converted hayloft, located in the beautiful Alta Langhe region of Piedmont, provides a comfortable base from which to enjoy a peaceful break away from it all. The spacious terrace lets you enjoy the stunning views of luscious rolling hills with the spectacular Alps in the distance. The friendly village of Prunetto provides all essential amenities within walking distance and a selection of restaurants allow you to sample the tasty Piemontese cuisine. The area is enjoyed by keen walkers and cyclists though a car is essential to get the most from your visit to this beautiful area. Italy is well know of course not only for its food and wine but also for its passion for 'family'. Children will be welcomed wherever you go and there are a number of open-air pools nearby to allow them...Our recently converted hayloft, located in the beautiful Alta Langhe region of Piedmont, provides a comfortable base from which to enjoy a peaceful break away from it all. Also the Ligurian coast is less than an hour drive away for an enjoyable day at the beach. If it's a winter holiday you are looking for the house is centrally heated and equipped with a very efficient wood burner to give a real cosy feel. The Mondole Ski area is also within easy reach and has an excellent setup for all level of skiers.More

About the neighbourhood
Our house is located in a small, rural village which provides all the necessary shops and amenities within walking distance. A 5 minute drive takes you to Monesiglio, a slightly larger village with additional shops, restaurants a small supermarket and a weekly market. There are many pretty villages to visit nearby, all very tranquil and friendly. Enjoy leisurely walks through hazelnut groves or relax and enjoy a long lunch with a fabulous selection of antipasti. Cortemilia itself is the global capital of the most renowned hazelnut - Tonda Gentile della Langa (or sweet round and refined of the Langhe) and contributes about 2 % of the world's hazelnuts! During the summer months there are several open-air pools to choose from in the local area and I can recommend sunday lunch at the agrituris...
How to get there
There are many airports you can fly to within easy reach of Prunetto. Genoa, Turin and Cuneo are all less than 90 minutes drive away. Nice and Milan airports are also a good option - approx 2.5 hours drive but scenic with plenty of options to pull off the motorway and enjoy some local cuisine en-route.
