A well appointed, warm, cozy cottage in a beautiful listed building. A great base for walking, being right on the path to Kinder and stonesthrow from Hayfield.

A lovely cottage in a really picturesque setting. The peacocks and ducks kept the children amused. Cottage was cosy and we'll kitted out.

Nice property in excellent location. Nice walks right from the doorstep. Pub within easy walking distance. The cottage would have been perfect with a little more attention to detail. In particular the cleaning of the kitchen can be improved. Half a role of toilet paper...More

Points noted. Although there was a brand new loo roll left on the shelf next to the toilet so perhaps you didn't see that?

About the neighbourhood
Little Hayfield is a hamlet in the Peak District National Park, in England. It lies on the A624 between Hayfield and Glossop. At the centre of the hamlet is the Lantern Pike pub. Sheepdog trials and fell racing take place in Little Hayfield.

Behind the pub is a trail leading to Lantern Pike. Walk down the short road, through a gate, past an old mill (converted into flats), and on up a rather muddy zig-zag lane to the summit itself.
