So is the city of Aberdeen and all the coastal villages of Aberdeenshire. We run our cottages and our farm on environmentally friendly basis. On the farm we have planted hedges and woodland and do not use chemicals on our grass. We have a 15Kw wind turbine which provides electricity for the farm and the cottages. In the cottages we have all low energy lighting and use low energy electrical appliances. We provide recycling bins for our guests. More

About the neighbourhood
Fyvie lies alongside the River Ythan, famous for the pearl mussels found in its many deeper sandy pools, or pots and was once known as 'the Rich Rig of Scotland'. Fyvie is host to Fyvie Castle reputed to be home to some of the ancient Scottish kings dating back to the 12th-century.
