Situated just 2 kms out of the village of Valor, (a gentle 30 minute stroll), this casita is perched on the hillside above the hamlet and offers peace and tranquillity without being remote.Within the 4000 square meters of land are two casitas (Cuesta Vinas 334029) each with their own private pool, private sunbathing areas and their own gardens.Casa Verde has a beautifully tiled outdoor terrace to the rear of the house overhung by vines and olive trees where you can laze away the days in either sun or shade. We stayed at Casa Verde for a week and loved it. After the winding roads with amazing views of the Alpujarras and climb up (in the car) to the top of the hill we were greeted with a bottle of wine and other local produce...More

We enjoyed the solitude of this hilltop place. The pool area is fantastic and we spent the majority of our time reading books next to the pool. It's easy to get into Valor and the bars and restaurants are good value and the tapas great....More

About the neighbourhood
The moorish village of Valor perches on the foothills of the Sierra Nevada gazing out over the valley and the market town of Ugijar. An unspoilt traditional Spanish village popular with spanish tourists. Situated two hours from Granada (the Alhambra Palace is truely unmissable) and one hour from the coast, culture, countryside, beaches and skiing are all within easy reach. With a population of just under 1000, the village has 9 bars all of which serve tapas and a couple of which offer a full menu. There are also 2 small supermarkets, one with it's own bakery, which sell all essentional shopping items including fresh meat, fruit and veg. There are two buses daily to Granada & Ugijar although a day trip to Granada by bus does require a 6am start!
