We have reopened our Homestay at Little Paradise in June 2020 after 6 years - with the addition of two new independent studio units to the property.
Little Paradise Goa is a charming boutique vacation homestay in Assagao - offering independent cottage units and contemporary chic studio-style rooms, to travellers who enjoy the comfort of small spaces, minimal design and alfresco living. Bathed in natural light, the cottages and studio units have large outdoor spaces - decks, terraces, balcaos, balconies and gardens, overlooking the valley of the village.
Set in 1200 square metres of lush tropical greenery, the property rests on a hill slope, giving the experience of a ‘tree house’ - surrounded as it is by mango, cashew, jamun, teak and coconut trees. We grow our own vegetables and herb...

This is the most magical place in Goa for me!
Staying at Little paradise is a treat! The house is wonderfully spacious and well designed surrounded by trees and flowers. It is a delight to have friends over and sit in that beautiful forested space. The location means walking to some lovely nearby shops and cafes is easy.
The local flavor is so gorgeous, while it is also incredibly cosmopolitan, with people from all over the world gathering at cafes and little galleries, and everyone is genuinely warm and friendly. It is definitely my favorite place to stay in Goa. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Home, away from the crowd.
We came and went as we pleased, cooked, swam, played with our boys and with the two resident dogs. After a few days we settled into an easy routine of coffee at la Plage in Ashwem, a swim, lunch at la Plage and daydreaming back at the house. Assagao is charming, the Friday market in Mapusa is close and fun, and the nearby dining (try Tamarind) excellent. Our boys loved the water slides at splashdown. But the best thing? You don't have to do anything at all. And Anjila's house, in all its comfort, was just the place.

Very comfortable
I stayed in this apartment over Christmas and new year with two friends. We has a great time! Assagao is one of my favorite places in goa and the location of the apartment was perfect for the yoga retreat we were going to.
Pascal was on hand to look after us and answer any questions and was amazing!
I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful house in the Goan forrest
We stayed for a week in this lovely house and very much enjoyed relaxing here. For fellow Kiwis it's akin to renting a batch in the bush, all your basics covered, just chillax time. Pickup transfer was very smooth and we ended up using the driver for the week to get us about for a tour here and there and even organised us scooters. The house was great for just the two of us, spacious living, bedroom and a kitchen, very nicely decorated. The outdoor plunge pool was heaven sent on those steamy days. It had everything we needed to be comfortable. The house is far from the hussle of Goa so do take that into account. If you want a night out in a restaurant and maybe a drink or two you will need to organise transport, the driver charged us 900rupees + tip return to the main beach/bar area so it can add up over a week and admittedly put us off going into town as much as we would have liked. We hired scooters which was nice for getting around locally and to the northern beaches during the day time. Go over the hill to Mapsua, a market town where you can get good fruit, veg. The lady around the corner, has a wee little shop but she managed to sell most things including the all important eggs for breakfast. There is one good shopping center, called the Arcade (I think) about 25mins scooter which is proper shopping center for a big shop inclusing a good range of wine and beer. A gentleman lives at the back of the property in a sort of garden shed, incase something breaks down or you need help. It can be a little weird at first, the first morning I came out of the shower half dressed to find he had let himself into the house and was doing our breakfast dishes. I was pretty shocked that he had just let himself in and why was he urgently doing our dishes?? We found him in the house several times throughout the week, mainly cleaning I think, when we would come back to the house in the afternoon. I think this sort of thing is common in India, I tried to get used to it but for the next 6 mornings I made sure I cooked breakfast and quickly did the dishes before he had a chance :-) The owner of the house was downstairs underneath who provided some good restaurant tips. I think this house is great for those wanting relaxation, sleeping, reading and general downtime. The verandah and lounge are great for lazy days. The jungle is relaxing and look out for the monkeys early morning. A great place to clear the mind,

Wonderful time in assagao!
I had the chance to spend a month in the Little Paradise Cottage and I had must wonderful time there! Cleanliness, Lovely decoration, great location, great hosts.
Close enough to the beach, close from really great restaurants, yoga centres and In one of the most beautiful peaceful villages in Goa with lovely Portuguese influence.
I really enjoyed my time there using every charming space in the house, the pool, the terrace, my room, an incredible place to relax, read, and have a glass of wine.
The help of Pascal who is in charge to maintain the house and who can help with practical stuff. Priceless!
This little paradise cottage is the best place to experience Goa in safe, beautiful and relaxing space.
A place to visit again!

Arcadia!
Dearest anjila,
Thank you for the absolutely wonderful long weekend I spent at your own beautiful Little Paradise. The highlights for B and me were:
- You
- Elsa and Jackie
- O magnifico Senhor Pasqual
- S. Pasqual's culinary skills
- Senhor Ketan of the spiffy cab
- The many, many lush, now-dry-now-drenched walks up and down and around and about your characterful, eccentric, road and the crossroads and bylanes thereof
- The Birdlife! 30 species in three days, and just in the course of aforementioned walks and from your balconies. Highlights: Black-naped monarch flycatchers; Flame-backed woodpeckers; an as-yet unidentified-by-us thrush; Small minivets; Black-rumped munias; Golden-fronted feafbirds ... the Sunbirds everywhere. You are in the midst of a birders' paradise and i hope many more twitchers will partake of its pleasures. The neighbourhood must be a carnival of colour and birdsong in wintertime!
- I love the downstairs room.
- I will be back, I know.
Thank you!
Much-much

A Truly Lovely Stay at the Little Paradise Cottage in Goa
The Little Paradise cottage and the professionalism of both anjila and the caretaker, Pascal were excellent. The space in the cottage itself has all the amenities you'd desire: WiFi, satellite TV, washing machine, AC, open kitchen, wading pool and even a gym nearby. There are also two-wheeler and taxi rentals for a small fee that will keep you mobile to explore the area. The cottage is close to several beaches but you'll need to be mobile to really explore the area. It's also quite pleasant to simply be in the cottage for days on end, reading, sleeping, and cooking. It seems to lend itself to begin either just a comfortable place to sleep or a place to spend countless hours just relaxing.
Whether you're interested in an absolutely relaxing and beautiful place to spend the monsoon and/or high season or you're looking for adventure and partying, this place will prove to be a home away from home for however long your visit will last. My wife and I will certainly return.

Beautiful, secluded, relaxing really a Little Paradise
What a beautiful holiday from start to end..our villa Little Paradise was so serene with beautiful furnishings & outlook of green exceptional surrounding!! It is a relatively quiet area, so don't expect clubs and lots of shopping on your doorstep, but we liked it as we had specifically opted for this factor. Having your own spash pool is a plus as you can relax all hours. It also has a nice outdoor bathroom and it can offer a soothing early morning/ evening shower. There are some really good places to to eat close-by and Gunpowder (lunch and dinner) is one of them. Pascal, the caretaker is very friendly & accommodating (and so is Jackie, the house pet!) and goes above & beyond..p.s. he is also a good cook. We also had a great time bird watching from the porch of the villa itself and managed to click more than 25 species during our stay and also had a unforgettable period watching the fireflies when the power went off on a rainy night. It is not for those who intend to swim in the sea thrice in the day, due to its distance from the nearest beach,In summary, a great stay and awesome having the privacy, space, pool, isolation, nature, AC and friendly staff.

Paradise Indeed!
I have been meaning to write this review ever since I got back from Goa nearly a month ago and finally its here.
We stumbled upon Little Paradise purely by coincidence during our search for a suitable accomodation. After scouring the internet for weeks and failing to find anything that appealed to everyone in our group, the ever reliable trip advisor threw up Little Paradise after countless modifications to the search parameters & instantly we all were in love with it.
The owner, Anjila was a charm to plan things with & was extremely understanding & patient with us. The property is located in an extremely peaceful area but not far from anything you might need wether it be the beaches or restaurants or markets. The property is beautiful, extremely well maintained & has all the modern amenities you might need or might be used to back at home. Plus the fact that there is a private pool just sweetens the deal. Special mention for the housekeeper who is always there when you need him, cooks amazing food & is never intrusive and also the cab driver who was very courteous throughout.
The bedroom upstairs is spacious & extremely relaxing while the one downstairs albeit small is still very comfortable. The living room upstairs with its open layout is amazing to just laze around in all day.
To top it all off there are 2 amazing dogs who will never really bother you but are always around you & if you are an animal lover then you will surely enjoy their company.
i would happily reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for a place in goa & i personally cannot wait to go back again.
cheers.
