Magnificent beach house, located on the green north coast of Madeira Island, more specifically in the city of São Vicente, recently restored, has a beach right in front of you with a very blue sea. The beach has access to the sea, has a solarium area and showers. I usually joke that the house has a natural pool :-) São Vicente is the main city on the north coast of the island and is just 40 minutes from the capital Funchal.

Next to the house there is a surf school where you can have your first contact with this sport. São Vicente is located in an area where you can enjoy many activities, surfing, mountain tours, fishing, canyoning, climbing, yoga, mountain biking or simply enjoy a beautiful walk along the coast, along the promenade.The house has a magnificent balcony where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea, listen to the sea and sunbathe.

Villa incroyable !!
Nous avons séjourné une petite semaine chez Constantino en famille ! Nous n’avons jamais loué une telle villa !
Une superbe terrasse donnant directement sur la mer . Nous nous sommes baignés tous les jours. Juste à côté, il y a une école de surf très sympathique, les garçons y ont pris un cours et ont été enchantés. la maison est lumineuse et les chambres en dessous sont très propres et très agréables. Constantino est un super hôte, à l’écoute, accueillant et chaleureux.
découvrir Madère comme cela a été une vraie chance, loin de la foule et des hôtels touristiques .
Si vous aimez l’authentique, surtout venez chez Constantino, vous ne serez jamais déçus

Charming waterfront villa - with a few downsides
The pictures tell the truth: This waterfront villa is just as charming as it looks. Especially the big, blue terrace with sunbeds only few meters above the sea is amazing - you’ll never find a holiday house that close to the bustling waves.
The huge livingroom with the kayak on the wall and the comfy furniture is a nice place to chill in the evening. The kitchen is well equipped - you can cook and make cocktails as much as you want.
The 3 bedrooms downstairs have good, large beds - 2 of them with seaview. It’s really soothing to fall asleep to the sound of ‘water music’ outside.
The house is in walking distance (1.5 km) from Sao Vicente with it’s restaurants, bars, bakery, supermarket and other shops.
Constantino, the host, is just as charming as his house. Very helpful, very generous - just ask, and he’ll do anything to help you.
However, there are a few downsides to the house that need to be mentioned…
- In December the sun never rises above the mountain behind the house. Never! Some times it’s pretty cold to sit on the lovely terrace.
- During the 4 days we stayed in the house it’s was impossible to get into the water - neither in front of the house nor in Sao Vicente as such. The waves were too brutal. We had to take our car to nearby Seixal with it’s calm (free) natural pools.
- The 2 floors of the house are connected by outside stairs. As the doors slam behind you, you have to bring keys at all times.
- The house is VERY HUMID! Actually, it’s necessary to put on big dehumidifiers at least 2 hours a day. It’s impossible to dry wet clothes inside (or outside)
- You need a car, if you stay more than a couple of days. There is not much to do in Sao Vicente, especially not during the winter months.
All in all, we had a good time in the charming waterfront house - it’s truly a unique spot.

Getting around
Tirando partido das caraterísticas geográficas do terreno, foi também construído um jardim com predominância das plantas endémicas, que apresenta uma série de percursos pedonais, conjugados harmoniosamente com cursos de água.
O Núcleo Museológico Rota da Cal, situado nesta freguesia, é composto por um trajeto pedestre que leva cerca de 30 minutos, desde as pedreiras de extração calcária até ao museu.
A partir do Miradouro da Encumeada, na Ribeira Brava, temos magníficas vistas panorâmicas da cordilheira que atravessa a Madeira e de várias zonas de São Vicente, nomeadamente da Floresta Laurissilva.
