Holiday Rental House
Casa Amado is a 3 story Pueblo Blanco home in a hilltop town, near the castle, church and town square. The house is decorated in a beautiful Moroccan motif, with quality furnishings. There is a full kitchen, with 3 story skylight. The bathroom has a Moroccan arch, with shower for 2, and twin brass sinks. The Master Bedroom has AC, while the guest room a charming ceiling fan. Custom wrought iron beds add to the charm. The house is close to everything in Olvera, and Olvera is close to major sights, such as Ronda, Setenil, Sevilla, Cadiz, Jerez, Malaga (Costa Del Sol), El Caminito Del Rey, Zahara...with Granada and Cordoba under 2 hours. There is too much to see for one trip. Olvera is super charming, and has over 50 bars and restaurants, most within walking distance. Smart TV is available,...Casa Amado is a 3 story Pueblo Blanco home in a hilltop town, near the castle, church and town square. There is too much to see for one trip. Olvera is super charming, and has over 50 bars and restaurants, most within walking distance. Smart TV is available, with Netflix, and HDMI for PC and Mac, if you bring your laptop or external memory. Sometimes wifi is a bit slow, but most of the time, strong enough to support 2 people on downloads and uploads. The Moorish Castle, and Church are a steep 5 minute walk away, and the town square at the top of the hill, as well. Groceries and bars/restaurants are delightful, with tapas or full plates, and wine, beer and cava, at typically low prices. This is 'Real Spain' The street is very steep, very narrow and cobblestone, so advise parking above or below in the main part of the village. If renting a car, go as small as possible. Parking is available on the street, but most local vehicles have dents and scratches, so drive carefully with as small a car as you can rent (or park in the lot down the hill). The house is old, and the stairs are open, so expect some dust and may not be appropriate for young children, with the open stairs (see picture). There is an additional inflatable mattress for those who wish to sleep on the floor, if desired. Places to See; Ronda, with canyon, bridge, bull ring and old town. Setenil with Cave houses. Sevilla with Flamenco, Cathedral, Sangria. Granada with The Alhambra. Jerez for Sherry. Cadiz for Beach time Atlantic (Nice Sand). Malaga and Marbella for Costa Del Sol Beaches (Stones). Cordoba for Moorish Architecture. Zahara, with it's lake. Algodonales for Hang gliding. El Caminito Del Rey for cliff hikes on a precarious trail. Via Verde for easy hikes and bikes or horses. Birding. Tapas, Olives, Almonds, Wine, Beer, Cava and Sangria for a song... Or....just relax and enjoy the flavors, sights and sounds of a Real Spanish town. This apartment is quirky and great location in beautiful village. Perfect spot for walking. I’d suggest apartment is more suited for a couple as second bedroom is small with the rock of mountain above your head, a little freaky. Apartment needs heat once log burner...More

Thanks Anne. With the electrical upgrade, I will test a few space heaters when I go in June. Hopefully they don't pop the circuit and will help with the heat. Weather is hard to predict and hope you had some breaks. That storm was as...More

Olvera is a peaceful little village with a great castle, beautiful church, and some really good food! The house is built right into the side of a mountain, partially exposed inside...very cool feature. It is on a narrow, steep street with a view of the...More
