Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority has an excellent public transportation system that not only offers local bus service but also special bus services along the Gulf Beaches for tourists. Special fares for unlimited rides are available through the GO cards which are available for periods of 1, 7, or 31 days and through the one month Passport.
Downtown Looper Trolley leaves every 15 minutes from each of the following thirteen stops: The Pier, the Museum of History, Renaissance Vinoy Resort, Museum of Fine Arts, Baywalk, Florida International Museum, the Post Office, The Arts Center, Florida Holocaust Museum, Salvador Dali Museum, USF, the Hilton, and Hampton Inn & Suites. It runs from 10 am to 5 pm every day and an abbreviated schedule of stops runs from 5 pm to 12 am on Fridays and Saturdays. Current fares are 25 cents per person with special rates for seniors, the disabled and Medicare cardholders. A special Baseball Looper Trolley is also available during the baseball season for service to the Progress Energy Baseball Field.
