"Country food with a French passion" is the theme of this comfy-cozy bistro type restaurant located on the northwest corner in the Historic Sonoma Plaza.  Food here is fresh, healthy and full of flavor.

 The signature dish is the fig salad prepared with arugula, goat chees,pancetta, pecans and grilled figs.  Other favorites are the steamed mussels, crab cakes and the Croques Monsieur prepared with Neiman Ranch jambon and "St George" cheese.

 A must-have for dessert is the lavender infused creme brulee or the fig "oreos."  Lunch, Sunday Brunch and dinner are all served here and reservations are highly recommended, especially during high season and the weekends.

 girl and the fig also offers patio dining and an extensive wine list featuring many Rhone variatals.  No Chardonnay or Cabernets will be found on the wine list here.  There are 18 Viogniers, 36 Syrahs and all other Rhone variatals:  Marsanne, Rousanne, Grenache, Cinsault, Mouverde, Carignare.  Wine Flights are also offered where you can sample many different tastes of one specific wine you are interested in.
