This statue is open all year long, and the best thing about it is it is free. Local folklore has it that if the big Jesus falls on you, it is a ticket straight to heaven. Need a place to stay, try the Dinner Bell Ranch. Secluded luxery cabins offer all the comforts of home. Horseback riding is available. My wife and I were married at the Dinner Bell Ranch on horseback. The owners are down to earth people and very unintrusive.
The local trolley system should be utilized for seeing the sites. The trolley's run frequently past most of the major attractions. Pick a hotel with a trolley stop and leave your car, especially nice if you want to hit a few pubs downtown.
