If you’re in Roissy with the kids, don’t overlook the fact that Disneyland Paris is only about half an hour away. You can rent a car, take the RER commuter express rail network, or take a direct shuttle from the Charles de Gaulle airport. This theme park is actually among France’s top tourist attractions, with some 50 million visitors each year. Located on about 5,000 acres in the suburb of Marne-la-Vallee, it is similar to the parks in Florida and California, with a European touch. There are several hotels, restaurants, a campground, and a 27-hole golf course. An entertainment center features dance clubs, shops, restaurants, bars, a tourist office, and a marina.

In the five parks—Main Street USA, Adventureland, Fantasyland, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Discoveryland—rides, activities, and entertainment abound, along with multilingual life-sized Disney characters. Adjacent is Walt Disney Studios, which centers on popular movies, and takes guests behind the scenes to explore film, animation and television.

Admission for one day is 43 Euro for adults and 35 Euro for kids ages 3 to 11. A one-day park hopper ticket, which gets you into both parks, is 53 Euro for adults and 45 Euro for kids. Regular hours are from 10 am until 10 pm , but do vary a bit with the season.
