Strindberg, Pohjoisesplanadi 33. Sense the old and historical atmosphere at this upscale café by the Esplanadi Park. This café is especially popular among helsinkians in the summer, when the big terrace is set along the Esplanadi, and customers can people-watch, sunbath and enjoy the views of beautiful buildings and the greenish Esplanadi park.

Café Engel, Aleksanterinkatu 26. Opposite the big square of Tuomiokirkko (the biggest church, located in the center of the city), this café is usually packed with turists and locals coming here for the exellent views of the church, delicious banana-cake and good magazine selection. Café Tin Tin Tango, Töölöntorinkatu 7. Based on the belgian animated adventurer TinTin, this café is easily one of the best in Helsinki. Behind the Crowne Plaza Hotel on one of the sides of Töölö marketplace, where you can find lots of fresh products in the summer, lies this café very popular among locals. In the small Café Tin Tin Tango you can feast yourself with big french breakfasts that are served all day. If you're up to it, you can even wash some laundry or go take a sauna here aswell. Very packed, especially on Sundays.

Café  Ekberg, Bulevardi 9, has a buffet breakfast every morning from 7.30 onwards. Ekberg is a classic Helsinki cafe and has a fantastic bakery next door.

 Siltanen, Hämeentie 13B. A club/bar/restaurant that serves brunch on weekends from 11 to 18. You can choose from two different plates, Berlin or Buddha for vegetarians. There is always a DJ playing during brunc, making sure of the clublike atmosphere.

Nolla, Pohjoinen rautatienkatu 21, Brunch is served from a buffet on Saturdays from 12-16. Nolla is a Resteurant in the daytime and a bar/club in the night.

 Qulma, Mariankatu 13B. Breakfast is served daily from 8am to 10am. Sandwiches, croissants and sweet pastries are available with fresh coffee.

Toripojat, Kauppatori. The market café is open on all market days from 6am to 2pm, during winter, and 6am to 6pm, during summer. It offers traditional Finnish pastries (sweet and savory) and freshly brewed coffee along with an atmosphere of the good old Helsinki Market days.
