Great experience and a refreshing swim during the blistering summer! Toddlers to grannies wade and swim in the constant 17 degree, crystal clear water coming out of the gorge. The water is brisk but then you just stand up and dry off in the sun. Be sure to bring your swimsuit if you want to take a plunge, and footwear to get wet for just shallow wading on the smooth, rounded stones. There is also a local outfitter that will guide you on a two mile float down the river, wearing their wet suits. Warning - a good condition staircase of about 100 steps takes you to the bottom (and back up). And the best part is the access price - absolutely free!
