Travelling in Lyons can sometimes be disorienting, especially if you aren’t proficient in the French language. If you need some assistance in getting your bearings straight and making sure you make the most of your Lyonnaise getaway, you can always count on help from the Lyon Convention and Visitors Bureau.

The Visitors Bureau operates a tourist office at place Bellecour in the city’s second district. The office is easy to find and centrally located—place Bellecour is the largest clear square in Europe, one of its focal points and home to the largest metro station in the system, Bellecour (accessible from the A and D lines). The center’s staff is always willing to aid visitors in organizing their tour (at the reception desk, with tons of literature on all of the region’s major attractions) or making hotel and restaurant reservations (at the reservation desk, which has its own event ticket office). You can stop in to the facility in person, reach it by phone at 33 (0)4 72 77 69 69 or check out the Visitors Bureau’s excellent website, available in both French , English, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Russian .

The Lyon Tourist Office also organizes tours through its guide office. The office employs 34 guides in total, who offer about 40 different tours in 9 languages—French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Portuguese and Japanese. The guide office has a separate phone line: 33 (0)4 72 77 72 33.

The Lyon Tourist Office welcomes you from 9 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week.
