Middleton railway based in Leeds lays claim to be the oldest working railway in the world. The railway's base at Moor Road in Hunslet, Leeds boasts a shop and cafe, serving hot and cold drinks, as well as light snacks and a selection of souvenir items. The railway operates at weekends, bank holidays and on Wednesdays during August, running a regular service from its Moor Road base to Park Halt at the edge of Middleton Woods.
