Few recommendations - not in any particular order! 1) Get the cool camping cornwall book book - nearly all campsites in it and were great Porth Joke is a beautiful campsite but fairly basic - 2 mins from beach though so great for kids. Treen Farm campsite in the south - gorgeous cliff top and within walking distance to minack theatre..next point.. 2)Minack theatre! amazing cliff side theatre- go to website and book tickets for performance- its a byo affair so pack wine and good picnic! 3) http://www.thecornishcyderfarm.co.uk/ - cyder farm - good afternoon out - tractor rides for kids through farm and tour of how made and tasting sessions! 4) Camel trail - hire bikes in wade bridge and cycle this mainly flat cycle trial - beautiful scenery - end up in padstow and have rick stein fish and chips - you can book into his fancy restaurant but loved the fish and chip restaurant - though it does have funny opening times so check these out first before you plan journey around it! - Padstow is great, situated around a harbour and lovely shops etc. 5)Falmouth - if you are passing near here - best restaurant have ever eaten in in life - the wheel house - simple but fantastic seafood and very reasonable - advisable to book as very small but highly highly recommend! 6)Mousehole for a cream tea - but be careful - not sure what size your van is but very narrow corners and turns - can be hair-raising! 7)Don't bother with Lands end - touristy and tacky in my opinion not worth the hype - and you have to pay to get a picture anywhere near the sign! don't go! 8)Lizard penninsula - apparently Anns pasty shop is the best pasty in cornwall - it was very good and then you can walk it off by the cliff walk along lizard peninsula. 9)Gwithian bay - stunningly beautiful and quiet beach - gwithian farm campsite (think thats the name) is within walking distance - big modern and fantastic shower facilities! 10) " - if you like antique fairs car boot sales - seems to be plenty about - have a look at web site re dates 11) Have plenty of BBQs - the fishmongers are exceptional and it saves money!! also if you are there in the summer the fishmongers sell samphire- so good with fish 12)the eden project - try not to go during weekend as very busy++ - also has concerts and events on so check out websites. 13) really wanted to do a foraging food tour - loads of places do them but didn't have time but its an idea.. That probably enough to get on with for now! Hope you have an amazing time - would love to hear about it! Any questions feel free to send a message
