Going to the spa is always luxurious, but how about going to a spa in a location with some history behind it? Few things are more exciting than staying at a hotel with a connection to pop culture or history. These are hotels that not only have interesting and exciting backgrounds but also have renowned hotel spas to make for a relaxing vacation.

Pros: spectacular views and privacy, warm, friendly service, solid deal on points or cash. Cons: weak concierge staff, steep hillside location and long wait for golf cart transportation might occasionally prove a bit frustrating.
