Stayed here 2 nights on a groupon voucher. The room smelt like a hospital, as though they'd used a spray of some sort to cover the smell.
We saw no staff the entire time we were there (arrived after hours but other then that saw no one) apart from the restaurant.
The restaurant only offered three types of pizza or a cheese board, so we went elsewhere.
The continental brekfast was good. We never really saw anyone during breakfast where we could ask for a cooked breakfast.
The place looks run down, it definately has potential if the grounds started to be looked after.

Stayed 2 nights in the Bears Retreat. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. The view from the shared balcony was good and the grounds well maintained. The staff members that we ran into were helpful with platters we ordered for our room.
It is very peaceful and is a good base to see the region.

Very close to all the facilities and really beautiful complex. I bought a groupon for me and my partner and we found it very worth while. The two girls we encountered during our stay were so helpful, we ate in the restaurant and the food was great. It is very quiet (might be the season) so if you're looking for something with a bit more atmosphere, maybe try in town. But would stay again and recommend.

we had stayed at Karriview Lodge a few years ago, so when we saw a Groupon on this place recently we thought we would buy it and visit it again. We were so disappointed with this place. The rooms are really tired. the only staff we saw were the young man who showed us to our room and the young lady who was responsible for breakfast. The room we stayed in was really tired and rundown. The bathroom really needs a revamp. The water from the shower went all over the bathroom floor, which did not drain away,, so when you got up in the night to go to the toilet ( toilet was next to shower) you stood in a huge puddle of cold water. did not have any room service at all, not even fresh towels or a bed made. It is such a shame as this place has huge potential and it feels as if the owners are just treating it as a business that brings in money but does not get anything spent on it. The best thing about it is the scenery around it, you have a lovely view from your room.

Stayed for 3 nights the room was very good size and clean. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough for our stay. The grounds well kept and the potential is huge. Very quiet and secluded. Would recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: Lodge has verandas.
