Wonderful family friendly villa. Plenty of space to accommodate two families with all the comforts from home. Great pool and fabulous hot tub - we made sure to make full use of both..! Fantastic outdoor eating area - perfect for cooking al fresco and enjoying with a Tropical / glass of Rioja or two.. Wifi and TV a bit hit and miss but understand that's to do with the unpredictable satellite reception. The dining room with sliding doors to the patio area was a perfect breakfast spot while waiting for the day to warm up. Plenty of wardrobe space, towels and also a safe for storing valuables. Two visits from Roy the property manager, two visits from the cleaners and three from the pool team - very attentive service. Marion, the owner, was only ever a text away and so warm and friendly. Tias is a quiet, little town, €8 in a taxi from the madness of Puerto del Carmen. If you have a car, Lidl just outside PDC is a much better option than the local Hyperdino - better selection and cheaper price. Can highly recommend the pizza restaurant on Av Central - five minutes walk from Villa Destino - 5 large take away pizzas for €25, and also San Antonio Bakery for lunch / coffee and cake. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday - thank you so much to Marion and Steve, for allowing us to experience Villa Destino - we hope to return..!
We spent a week here with family ages ranging from 15-79. We had a lovely week. Villa has everything you could ask for, facilities fantastic and spotlessly clean. Would definitely recommend.
My family have just returned from a fabulous week in this beautiful villa. The weather was bit mixed but the villa had everything on hand to keep even my 6 year old grandaughter happy... CITV, CBBC, films and board games!! On arrival we didnt have to hunt for shops. There was coffee, milk, bread cheese and perfectly chilled bottle of cava. The pool area is excellent. Very clean with lovely gardens. The pool table and table tennis were much appreciated and the hot tub was a haven in the evenings. The villa is in a very quiet street and Tias has a number of very good restaurants/bars all within 2o mins walk. My personal favourite was the tapas bar Los Iguanes but my grandaughter says the chinese has the best chicken sweetcorn soup she has ever had. All in all, I think Tias is a very good base to see the island as long as you can tear yourself away from the comfort and views that the Villa Destino provide. Thanks to Marion and Steve for the use of your property.
Just got back from a week at Villa Destino with 5 adults and a toddler.
There are many great things to say about this place:
1. The location. Near to everything and anything, although I’d advise renting a car to allow you to see the whole island.
2. The peace and quiet.
3. The place is very child friendly. High chair, baby towel, cot and blankets all provided.
4. The “extras” were great: pool table, jacuzzi, all the British tv and radio channels through the TV system, good WiFi coverage, towels changed and pool cleaned during our stay etc.
5. Good communication / Things were sorted quickly (e.g we had no hot water in one of the bathrooms...one quick call and it was sorted within 3 hours)
The only things that could be improved on are:
1. The beds needed thicker mattress covers to improve comfort.
2. The stair gate doesn’t fit the stairs.
3. The kitchen feels very cluttered and could do with a bit of a sort / clear out.
Just for general info for potential guests: the driveway can easily park 2 cars and the WiFi download speed was 2.8Mbps, latency 1416ms (Netflix was fine).
Top tip (for potential guests)...pack a couple of sharp knives in your suitcase...all of the ones in the kitchen were blunt - or just got out for dinner a lot!
A week in this villa and you will want to stay for longer. Everything is catered for to make your holiday enjoyable. The pool, hot tub, pool table, table tennis, and so much more laid on for our enjoyment. Would we book this again - absolutely.
