My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night in July 2011. The room was gross, smelled moldy and was very dated, like nothing had been changed since the 1960's. To list one positive thing, the view from our 2nd floor room was very nice.
The place was like a ghost town, no one was at the bar, not even a bartender. The restaurant seemed to be closed as we couldn't get any service at 6pm, after waiting long enough for someone to come around we ordered dinner which was NASTY!!! The next morning the breakfast wasn't so great either...the pancakes were palatable. The front desk staff was rude and not helpful at all. the best thing about our 2days in Monteverde was going Ziplining at Selvatura!
