This charming hotel at the ionic coast is a safe haven for people to relax. It is near Catanzaro, the capital of Calabria, el Castella, a medieval castle at the coast, Soverato, a touristy party location with lots of young people and Gerace, an impressive south Italian city in the mountains with lots of byzantine and roman churches.

The hotel is very family friendly and features professional and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is quite rich, however it doesn’t include fruit juices, milk or coffee, which have to be ordered separately from the waiters. The dinner features a buffet with all kinds of vegetables, salads, meats and other culinary delights. As for the primo, secondo and dessert, there is always a choice of three different dishes. They also take allergic and vegetarian people into account.

The hotel also features a rather big park, an outdoor swimming pool and a private beach. The water of the swimming pool is very clean (you can observe birds drinking it) and the seawater at the beach is crystal clear, which is perfect for scuba diving. The rooms are clean and comfortable, however the ventilation in the bathroom did not work. As the air conditioning compensated for that issue, so I didn’t really bother.

We stayed for over a week and had a wonderful and relaxing time so far. We regret that our holiday will soon come to an end...

Room Tip: 3rd floor in the main building with balcony

the hotel has a good pool, comfy rooms but was let down by its restaurant. It claimed to have an a la carte menu but on using the restaurant we were informed by the head waiter that only a fixed meal was available, designed for the coach parties staying there and certainly the hors-d'oeuvre course was not very Italian but was more German. After expressing our surprise an English speaking waiter was found who seamed as surprised as we were and produced an a la carte menu from which we selected a meal, only for the waiter to appear a few minutes latter to apologise and admit that the menu was not available but he could offer us a limited menu, one starter one first course and one main course, all out of the freezer. In the morning the buffet breakfast was no better there were several empty trays when we arrived which were not replenished until we had nearly finished our own breakfast. If this hotel is to appeal to independent travellers and not rely on coach parties they need to sort out the restaurant.

We stayed there for a week and spent a wonderful time.

The advantages of the hotel are: location in a calm place, great food at the restaurant for a dinner, nice swimming pool, spacious and clean room well equipped, professional, helpful and friendly waiters, especially Nicoletta (please pass her on our regards).

Disadvantages:
Lack of early check-in ( the rooms were empty, but not cleaned and we had to wait 3 hours... ).
The storage room for our luggages were not secured. Everyone has a right to come in.
The only way to travel around is to rent a car. Buses go only to Soverato:(

Generally I would recommend this place for a real relax on the spot.

Hotel Rada Siri is in pristine condition. The rooms and suites are clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful! The pool is beautiful and the location and setting are perfectly placed. It's close to Camania Beach, so make sure you get down there and enjoy a swim with the locals! Wifi at Rada Siri is challenging, so don't expect to be connected during your stay! Great spot for families! The restaurant has world class service and may be the highlight of this property! Ci torneremo presto! Grazie mille!

We came for a week all includede. The first day we found the shower has not been clened for many days, with a gelatinous surface and very disgusting smeel in the restrroom. The floor was extremely and dangerously sleepery and we were with our Mom who is 80 yo. It was very very dangerous for her. Then we found that the water did not run throug the sink of the lavavo. We asked for a celan up but it took 3 days until they fixed and took a lot of hair and other disgusting material from the sink. We did not have the opportunity to use the hotel car to travel to the beach wich is far from the hotel. And finally we found that when we talked to the manager and complaining for these unexpected and disgusting experience, he just acted very arrogantly and did not care for our rights as guests. We hope not to come back and never recommend someone who stay in this unclean, unhealthy and disgusting hotel which deserves not the 4 stars that they promote, but probably 1 or 2 only.
