“A place to relax and have an adventure all in one”

I cannot begin to describe how incredible this hotel is. I dont think you can describe it as a hotel although it is in the name. It is a collection of a handful of elite bungalow style retreats. The owner took time to show me into each one (as we were there off season and only a couple of the rooms were occupied). Each villa style suite is unique. Each have a storey. Each excudes luxury while not being pretentious at all. If you are into confort there is nothing like this place...and I have had the opportunity to travel a lot. The service is well above the norm and the food was some of the best I had in Italy...and for those of you who have been to italy...thats saying a lot. We didnt have a car, but the hotel took us to both Matera and Pristici...both were exciting and adventures and not for the physically challenged as Italy seems to be an uphill country...Our only regret was coming one week after the "ZIP" line closed for the season...We intend on going back and are for sure staying here for a few days. If you are in southern Italy or just want to get away from the madness of Rome...go here and see what true Italian hospitallity is all about...and say hi to David, Sonya and the rest of the staff for me. Upon my return to Toronto I recommended this place to everyone...

The facility exceeded our expectations. The quality of the rooms, the attention to detail, staff, food quality, wine celler, etc., etc. are a tough act to follow. The facility is located in close proximity to a number of interesting hilltop towns and sites. Day trips are very easy, and then you return to the warmth and comfort of a first class facility. This is among the best that we have seen and experienced in our extensive travels throughout Italy. We highly recommend this facility if the traveller chooses to experience Basilicata. Whether you choose to stay at the facility and enjoy a day by the beautiful infinity pool or go out into the country for a day trip, Torre Fiore will be the right choice. Bravo!!!

i had the pleasure of being one of the first guests in this outstanding auberge. we always study the trip advisor reviews but have never posted . A year later i find myself reflecting on my special soujourn and felt it essential that i post my comment. Torre fiore is classified as a Masseria which i would describe as a medieval farm fortress with an intimate collection of maisonettes facing inwards towards a small piazza. the outside walls of the rooms served as the fortifaction with a grand entrance gate. once inside the walls of torre fiore-- like the inhabitants of centuries ago- you will find refuge and respite . Torre fiore is owned by the wonderfully lovely and welcoming gianone family who have meticulously restored the structure completely updated the living quarters to luxury standards . Its is said that a home takes on the aura of those who own it and this is clealry evident at torre fiore. cant wait to go back!

Perched high on a Lucan knoll,
garbed in its lustrous white mantle,
a jewel shimmers and beckons the soul
to approach it,
through the winding road and bramble;
approach it, and chance upon an ancient fort,
ancient and new,
a paradox of a sort,
That boasts is sunset past and
proclaims haughtily its newborn present.
Grand, and resplendent and recast;
from its role of defender
to hospitable manor.
It will bestow rest, tranquility and ease.
And the soul weary of routine,
it will taunt and tease.
It will soothe and coddle and serve with "amore",
this jewel of Basilicata,
called Torre Fiore.

The rugged beauty of Basilicata inspired me. The enchantment of Torre Fiore confirmed that I must return.
Thank you to the Giannone Family and the staff of Torre Fiore for an unforgettable stay!

I would describe Torre Fiore as "Heaven on Earth!". From the moment my family approached the main gate and stepped through the door, we understood that this was our 10 day sanctuary. Our place of peace and tranquility! It was an absolute oasis!

We were immediately greeted by friendly and engaging staff who would continue to nurture us for our entire stay. It was as if their existence depended on our complete relaxation and satisfaction. They did not overburden us with service, but they were available at our notion. It was an awesome experience.

Beautiful rooms
Comfortable beds
Great Staff
Setting offered some Italian history
Everything I required to reset my consciousness from the long work days, weeks and months!
Cozy Dining area
Traditional Italian cuisine

We were fortunate to have occasional trips planned for us, so please be aware that you should arrange for additional excursions if this is your preference. If your intent is for complete relaxation, no additional planning is necessary. I do look forward to the planned extension (wellness centre/spa and restaurant) to complete this setting in the near future!

BRAVISSIMO!!!
