Capo de Greco has no signage off a very busy road and visitors need to be aware that the hotel is not recommended for the elderly or infirm due to the steep gradients and steps. The hotel has recently closed the spa, the sea deck is closed, pool bar and restaurant also closed and the A La Carte menu is not available.
The hotel is in need of updating and cannot be considered 4* at this time.
The staff however were all friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: recommend sea view

Dear Guest, thank you for your stay at Capo dei Greci. We regret not being able to offer some services but for example the Restaurant was open and we do not understand why you were unaware of this when in the hotel. Greeting from all our Staff

We have spent 2 weeks at this resort and have had A very relaxing time. We personally found all the staff very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much for them if you needed help.

Yes you are 6 miles from Taormina Town center but a regular bus service runs day and into the evening and costs 3euro 80 cents return and the views are worth that as you travel I into town.

Check out the trips on offer as you can find different prices offered in different places.

Our room was excellent and although it was not sea facing the sun in the afternoon bathed you as you sat and read. The pool facility was good and kept clean by the lifeguard.

Over all I would recommend the Capo dei Greco holiday complex but be aware their are steep climbs to the rooms but there is as shuttle mini bus to help iuf needed.

Room Tip: Our room was in block 2 we did not experience any disturbance from other guests. Each villa had 3 levels accessed by stairs.

Had a great stay in this place. Large grounds with nice pool, one of which was closed though. Free all you can eat breakfast with plenty of choice and great cakes. Staff were very friendly and the bar man is a top bloke and very cheerful. Kept me and my lady in snacks when we were at the bar. The room was pretty basic but with a great view and very clean. The air con worked, but occasionally had a mind of its own. Location was great as not too touristy. Nice sea platform, good if you wish to swim by the ocean.

Was an okay choice for our 2 night stay, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer than the weekend at this resort. Reception staff were friendly enough- one of the bathroom door's in the lobby area didn't shut all the way to lock. The rooms are very outdated and NOT nearly lit enough- two dull bedside lamps serve to light the bedroom. (We had an internal room not facing the sea, could have helped to have an external balcony with natural lighting). We used all facilities while here: the tennis court is nice, we requested to use the courts at around dusk and the court lights were never turned on -we couldn't play for long and tennis balls were flat; the spa is fairly nice- the receptionist was VERY friendly and accommodated us with every request, however one of the Jacuzzi tubs wasn't working and while we were there, the second one was turned off to do maintenance, making for a half-operating spa. Breakfast wasn't amazing- setup was chaotic, no real organization to the way things were arranged and served. Location of the resort is tranquil with amazing views but not convenient to surrounding Taormina area, great for the intention of mostly staying at the resort to use amenities, i.e. eat at the restaurants, spa, pools, see views, and tennis, etc. Luckily we did have our own car and there was free parking at the resort. Depends on what you are looking for, didn't quite fit the needs of our vacation. Next time I visit Taormina, I will stay in the heart of town where there is no need to drive or pay for parking.

Room Tip: Pretty sea and mountain views, recommend a sea facing balcony room.

Dear Liv2117, thank you for the review as posted on Tripadvisor. Nice to read it was an ok choice. Regarding the distance from the city, please note that our hotel is mostly chosen for the location: Taormina center is not located by the sea as we are and everything depends on the motivation itself. Best regards, Hotel Team

Staff were excellent in the roof top bar. Reception staff a little frosty.
Restaurant staff hit and miss.
Food very good.
Rooms clean but very tired, in need of an update and also terrible workmanship on the joinery work.
Unless you have a car you are stuck in the hotel or you can brave the bus service or taxi. This can get expensive....
Oh and no mini-bar!!!!
