British birdwatchers, seeking plenty of new species to see or photograph MUST put this location on their list. On Alicante airport's doorstep, there are few places where it's possible to see so many exciting birds - and photograph many of them from the driver's seat of a rental car. A long walk to the ponds if you don't know to park on Av de Carabrasi, between Gargola and Capitel, but who knows what you might see when on foot. (Shrikes galore, for a start :o)

Great for family / friends / picnics or nature walks - especially in the summer / spring warm days. Stone tables and benches are available and there is plenty of space for large groups. I have been coming here for a few years and it's a great little spot.

We have watched the Clot de Galvany develop over the many years we have been visiting Gran Alacant. The flora and fauna have evolved to provide a peaceful haven away from the streets and bars. The paths on the routes through the park are very good, with observation towers at intervals, giving great views of the surrounding areas and the mountains. It also provides an alternative route to Arenales. There are good photographic opportunities along the way for those with an artistic bent! Picnic tables and teaching areas are also available set amongst the pine trees. The one downside is the paths leading to the entrances around the perimeter are frequented by dog walkers, some of whom see fit to leave their dog's excrement on the paths. Please take a plastic bag with you and dispose of it in the bins provided!

There is not much to see: dunes, a couple of small ponds and some birds and ducks. Still, a great idea to keep some of the natural habitat in an area that is over developed. And there is an area with picnic tables, a small museum and some good views.

Stumbled upon this nature park by accident. If you want a peaceful wander with the chance of seeing wildlife this park is well worth a visit.
