We were a party of 9 mostly adults out for a birthday meal. Something for everyone on the menu which had plenty of standard Italian restaurant dishes, plus an extensive range of fish specials. What sets it apart is the excellent quality of cooking and freshness of ingredients. Specials tried included turbot, monkfish and swordfish, all perfectly cooked. Good wine list with some unusual and v nice Italian wines. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgable and the restaurant airy in nice location opposite the green with some outside seating. This was a bit more expensive than other places we’d usually go for this type of gathering e.g. gastropubs, but the quality made up for that.
