We stayed in the upper villa which is well equipped and spacious. The villa fronts the beach so there is an amazing view from the balcony which is a great place for breakfast, and relaxing in the evening. Holetown is a lovely small town on the West coast with a number of restaurants and bars. With a supermarket about 400 meters away and the beach literally outside door this villa is perfectly located and I look forward to staying there again.

What can I say, other than its a lovely place, the apartments are very nicely furnished, clean and spacious, all have balconies or patios and if you are fortunate enough to be on the ground floor - which we were, there's second patio/dining area great for chilling out in the evenings, watching the locals fishing. The staff at the St James are fantastic a special mention has to go to Celeste the Hotel Manager and Jadine who cleaned our apartments, lovely people and really couldn't do enough for us, the very personification of Bajan hospitality which Barbados is famed for.
Struggle to find any bad points really other than travellers should be aware that the cruise ships drop off at this beach twice a week, usually Tues and Weds. As the public right of way is right beside the hotel , it can get busy and a little noisy, so it may be a good time to go sightseeing. The rest of the time its very very peaceful, and a small price to pay. There aren't any facilities as such, i.e. no hotel bar/restaurants on site etc. but a short stroll in either direction will bring you to a number of bars and restaurants etc. There is a large supermarket in Holetown approx 15 mins walk, and a small local one just five mins away.
The beach itself is lovely, really calm seas and white sand and nice long stretch of beach. If you swim out far enough you can swim with turtles and in the evenings they lay their eggs on the beach.. Yep it was magical, we'll come again for sure.
This his a Beautiful villa right on the beach and many restaurants close buy Barbados is a lovely island, also hire a car and take a trip to Ostain on a friday night for a great time. The villa has all the details you need to have a holiday of a lifetime
