Firstly I would like to thank all the staff for making our stay the dream it was meant to be. I would like to thank all the individual people but to do that it would mean I couldn't fill the rest of the review with what a superb hotel and location this is.
We arrived to the welcoming rum punch and cold towel and were escorted to our room with a tour of the facilities along the way. Nothing was a problem and every member of staff combined to make our stay the most fantastic vacation / wedding one could imagine.
We could not have wished for a better organised celebration or even a more perfect setting with the added benefit of having the privilege of sharing it with such lovely guests.
The food, wow, over two weeks we didn't have the same thing twice, such a fantastic selection for all meals and we even took advantage of having a packed lunch when we took a trip around the island in a hire car which was also organised through the hotel.
The watersports available were fantastic as was the room we were in as well as the pool, the bar and the restaurant.
We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and hope we can visit again soon especially if it could be for our first anniversary.

I just returned yesterday from a week long stay at Mango Bay. The Good - the beach is amazing. It will not disappoint and you can walk the beach for quite a distance . Their are quite a few fish to see also if you enjoy snorkeling. Loungers with umbrellas were not a problem. The water sports provided are very good. Be sure to take a ride on the Catamaran and Glass Bottom Boat included with your stay. Water skiing is also provided as are non motorized sports. That was excellent. Of course you will have your gang of vendors hawking jewelry, jet skis and the like, but they are not aggressive . The grounds are limited but lovely . There is a computer/game room on the property. The gym is extremely small, but available 24 hours a day. The pool was relaxing and there are a few available floats. The pool also is small with no swim up bar and waiters taking drink orders. There was a good supply of lounge chairs and umbrellas around the pool area also . Check in was very smooth and you get a little tour of the property along with a welcome rum punch and cool towel. The wait staff at the restaurant was very nice and friendly. If you are there for relaxation you will not be disappointed. Booking tours is easy. I recommend doing tours .

The Bad- The food is atrocious and so limited in scope and variety. 80% of their guests are from the UK and it is evident that they make no effort to cater to the American or even Caribbean palate . No local foods or tropical fruits to really speak off except the morning melon and pineapple. Their is only one restaurant and one bar and they all close at 10:30 . If you are hungry after that you are out of luck. Reservations for lunch and dinner must be made at breakfast and they are very strict with the dress code. The rooms are dated and it is in your best interest to splurge for an ocean view room. There are two buildings and only one has an elevator. 4 flights in the heat with no elevator was not fun I heard so be sure to get an ocean view room or you run the risk of a street view room in the older building with no elevator. The nightly entertainment was a complete bore. Again catering to the old UK crowd. I recommend that you bring extra money to visit local restaurants as there are many to chose from all around the Island and look for local bars and clubs if you want good entertainment.
The staff at the front desk is professional but unfriendly. A smile is very hard to come by and a nod of acknowledgment is even harder.

Would I stay here again, only as a last resort if I could not find another hotel offering such a great beach. Without the beach the hotel would be a 1 star in my eyes.

Dear debbiepatrena,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent holiday experience at Mango Bay. I am delighted to know that you were pleased with our beautiful beach, fun water sports activities, lovely grounds, relaxing pool and our friendly wait staff. Your praises will be shared with all.

I am disappointed to know that some aspects of your stay were not stellar, as this is not the Mango Bay way. With regards to your comments on our cuisine, our skilled chefs are always happy to provide alternative dishes if there is not something to your taste on our menus. We are proud to be flexible and to offer diverse cuisine and flavours to all guests during our scrumptious Bajan buffet on Sundays, international buffet on Wednesdays and BBQ buffet on Saturdays to name a few. As it relates to tropical fruits, bananas, watermelon, grapes, cantaloupes, honeydew, kiwi, pineapple and apples are all served every morning.

While this trip might not have exceeded your expectations, we truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Mango Bay in the future.

Warm regards,

Anthony Johnson

Just come back from a two week stay in the Mango Bay Resort hotel, simply perfect. The hotel staff could not do enough to ensure you really enjoy your stay and go out of their way to make sure you have the perfect experience.

Peter is a legend and not a bad singer, he really looked after us throughout our stay, entertainment manager in the making.

Food was of a high standard, big chef (up on UK politics) was very professional and engaging with the customers and all inclusive includes all day snack menu, just incase you don't like the lunch or dinner menu there is always something to order from the snack menu.

Bar staff even come down to the beach to take drink orders and provided a much needed cold towel.

Water skiing was also included, big thank you to the Captain who managed to get me skiing, he had a great sense of humour and patience.

Lastly we met a lot of great people, would definitely recommend this hotel and would return.

Friendly staff, a varied menu. Snorkelling trip well worth booking. We were already in Barbados and spent four days at the resort. An interesting note as some friends were planning on coming from Canada, a four or seven day vacation package was within $100 in price including airfare transfers etc. Would pay to consider a vacation package instead of booking separately, did not work with our circumstances but could have with better planning and more lead time.
