Owner description: Visit Donkey Sanctuary Aruba where you can feed and pet the donkeys from the safety of our enclosed porch. They especially love apples and carrots, so feel free to bring some along. There is no admission fee, though your generous donations are greatly appreciated and are what continue to allow us the ability to care for our donkey family, which has approximately 130+ members at the moment. Our volunteers will be more than happy to show you around and answer your questions. And if you get there early enough, you can even help with the daily chores of feeding and caring for the donkeys, a great and educational experience for children! If you’d rather just observe, then you’re welcome to grab a seat on our covered porch, sit back with some coffee or a cold beverage and snack from our concession stand, or take a look inside our gift shop. Whatever you decide, we look forward to seeing you there!

This was a nice morning diversion from the beach. Buy a couple bags of carrots or apples before you go. It's a well run sanctuary and anyone who loves animals will enjoy it.

We had a lot of fun feeding the donkeys apples and carrots, which they eat right out of your hand. Loved to support these sweet, beautiful animals and the humans who care for them. Worth a visit, and leave a donation!

It was a pleasure to finally get to the sanctuary! Fed the friendly donkeys...it was a blast! Met Thunder the donkey that a friend of mine actually adopted. A group of friends adopted a donkey ourselves for the first time; her name is Cloudy the Pirate.

This was our third trip to Aruba and I made it a point to go visit the totally voluntary sanctuary that has been established for the beautiful and gentle donkeys on the island of Aruba. This sanctuary depends entirely on donations. There is NO entrance fee but donation boxes around the pens. The grounds are kept clean, the animals have plenty of fresh water and the volunteers that work there devoted to the well being of all these animals. It is open and you walk straight into the large pen and mingle with the donkeys. There are no guides so you are on your own. There are clean restrooms, a place to purchase beverages and snacks and a gift shop. All proceeds from any purchase goes directly to the care and rehabilitation of the donkeys. They are gentle and very curious animals, especially if you bring carrots! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO VISIT AND DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN....These amazing creatures and the spectacular, caring volunteers need all the support they can get. I will be there again next year with more carrots for my furry gentle friends!

A little off the beaten path but worth the effort. Very laid-back place, staff are super helpful and friendly, willing to answer any questions you may have. We took apples and carrots to feed the donkeys, they were super gentle although got very excited for the treats! Will definitely be a regular stop on future trips. Go and support this great cause and awesome animals
