We had a lot of fun feeding the donkeys apples and carrots, which they eat right out of your hand. Loved to support these sweet, beautiful animals and the humans who care for them. Worth a visit, and leave a donation!

It was a pleasure to finally get to the sanctuary! Fed the friendly donkeys...it was a blast! Met Thunder the donkey that a friend of mine actually adopted. A group of friends adopted a donkey ourselves for the first time; her name is Cloudy the Pirate.

This was our third trip to Aruba and I made it a point to go visit the totally voluntary sanctuary that has been established for the beautiful and gentle donkeys on the island of Aruba. This sanctuary depends entirely on donations. There is NO entrance fee but donation boxes around the pens. The grounds are kept clean, the animals have plenty of fresh water and the volunteers that work there devoted to the well being of all these animals. It is open and you walk straight into the large pen and mingle with the donkeys. There are no guides so you are on your own. There are clean restrooms, a place to purchase beverages and snacks and a gift shop. All proceeds from any purchase goes directly to the care and rehabilitation of the donkeys. They are gentle and very curious animals, especially if you bring carrots! PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO VISIT AND DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN....These amazing creatures and the spectacular, caring volunteers need all the support they can get. I will be there again next year with more carrots for my furry gentle friends!

A little off the beaten path but worth the effort. Very laid-back place, staff are super helpful and friendly, willing to answer any questions you may have. We took apples and carrots to feed the donkeys, they were super gentle although got very excited for the treats! Will definitely be a regular stop on future trips. Go and support this great cause and awesome animals

We visited twice in our 9 days on the island. Our 7 year old loved it and still says it was the best part of the trip. It didn’t feel touristy and the environment was relaxed and informal. Bring carrots!
