one of the worst experience of food and service. food arrived after 1 your and seafood salad was full of onions with 3 or 4 PCS of fish. risotto was sour and with spices like cardamom. Indian spice in Italian food....shocker of an experience

This is a popular boat safari where one can see beautiful mangroves, though birds are not many. The price is quite excessive considering the duration of lthe ride.Still there were large number of boats and tourists thronging the place.Worth one ride anyway.

Basically an hour plus long boat ride with barely any wild life (a couple of birds), and a couple of distinct tourist trap type places. A cinnamon island where they peddle cinnamon for you to buy, a fish massage pond, a temple where a monk is shamelessly pressuring for donations. Other than being boring and a waste of money, there's a real feel of being treated as a walking wallet. The whole operation is unpleasant and best to be avoided.

We have to thank Mendis for being our excellent host on our Madu River Safari which we did early one morning. It was a lovely tranquil trip with the chance to see lots of colourful birds herons and various kinds of Kingfisher. I’m amazed how the birds are not nervous of humans being so fixated on fishing. He knows the places to find them and we think he must have bionic eyes to spot for us. We saw a very relaxed monkey, and I’d never seen a sloth before. In fact loads of different wildlife in this area. We visited an amazing temple and we are now cinnamon converts to see off the mosquitoes as well as other remedies. A very enjoyable trip.
