“A great find and value in a charming medieval town”
Reviewed 10 May 2011 for a stay in April 2011

We stayed at Casa Zorzi for four days in late April with our four-year-old. It was a very good choice. The apartment is in the middle of Arquà Petrarca, which though not large is a friendly charming town near beautiful hills and not far from Padova. We stayed in the 1-bedroom Iris Suite, which was spacious and extremely clean. Arrigo was extraordinarily helpful from our very first email contact and throughout our stay -- repeatedly doing more than he had to, to ensure we had a pleasant stay (to name three examples--he helped translate at the pharmacy when we needed medication for our son, he emailed us after our departure with a dinner recommendation in Venice, and he even helped us park our car on the challenging hilly streets of Arquà). For this, the cost of 106 euros a night was very, very reasonable. The only drawback was the beds, which were a little soft for our taste. Otherwise, we very much enjoyed our stay and would gladly return in the future. Note that Casa Zorzi only takes cash, so keep this in mind before departing.

“Casa Zorzi is a delightful place, well worth a stay!”
Reviewed 8 May 2011 for a stay in April 2011

When we first arrived at Arqua Petrarca, we were amazed by it's simple elegance; the ash-grey cobbled streets, the flowers that were blooming everywhere you looked, and the pure, fragrant air. These were all such a treat to the senses, that it wasn't hard to imagine Petrach's inspiration.
We stayed at a delightful apartment which in our opinion, captured the essence of Northern Italy in it's whitewashed walls, high beds and beautiful antique furniture. Every corner of the house was designed with a lot of style, and a lot of attention had been given to the exquisite crockery and to the beautiful artwork on the walls. Everything was provided for, and we felt completely at home.
Arqua Petrarca is a lovely town not only to visit (it has Petrarch's house, some amazing trekking paths, and the outstanding Osteria al Guerriero for Italian food typical of the region) but also as a base if you want a trip that also covers Venice, Verona, Padua and the nearby islands. The train station is very close to Casa Zorzi.
This holiday was made all the more special by the immense care and help offered at all moments by Arrigo, who not only made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, but also spent a lot of time with us, giving us practical advice for sightseeing, without which we would not have been able to obtain as much from the trip! He and his wife, Nina were extremely hospitable and friendly, and that made all the difference!
This was a wonderful stay, and we will definitely return!

“Beautiful base for exploring The Veneto, Padua, Venice and Vicenza”
Reviewed 3 November 2010 for a stay in October 2010

Can we both extend our warmest thanks for a marvellous stay in your superb Casa. Arqua is a gem, we had a fantastic time and the trip cemented our Italophilic leanings. Yours is a marvellous area which deserves to be visited a lot more - but not too much more that it gets swamped or the British make the property prices sore like in France and Tuscany.

“Great hospitality, wonderful location”
Reviewed 31 October 2010 for a stay in October 2010

We spent six nights at Casa Zorzi and had a wonderful time. Arqua Petrarca is an amazing little town and the surrounding area has many attractions. However, what made the stay special was the fine hospitality of Arrigo Zorzi. Every day we planned a trip to different parts of Veneto with his help. He guided us to great spots and provided an insider's understanding of where to go, how to get there and how to avoid problems. His wife Nina's Osteria was also very special - great food and a wonderful wine list.

“In a marvellous retired village, raffined, charming and confortable appartment”
Reviewed 16 August 2010 for a stay in August 2010

We stayed 4 nights in a beautifully decorated appartment with a great garden with flowers. Every single detail was thought in the kitchen, bahroom and room. Very clean, raffined and splendid decoration, and mostly the welcoming was extraordinary. The owner is venitian, very nice, and gave us all advices needed to be able to visit the region unlike tourists ! This the "coup de coeur" of our trip, we rested a lot there, and were able to visit Venezia, Padova, and Verona with best advises possible. We want to recommend this place to anyone who likes to travel differently. We felt at home, as if invited by friends, there was no "commercial" feeling like it is usual in some hotels. Place to stay and recommend to others! The Village is splendid, and it is possible to discover the nature by walking.
