We’ve just spent a lovely week at this very nice hotel.

The food was excellent at all times, lots of variety, fresh and of very good quality.
The beach is just a two minute walk down a path. The shuttle car runs a timetable to take you there and back if you are unable to walk there.

At the beach, there are plenty of sun loungers and a great bar and restaurant. You don’t even have to walk back up to the hotel for lunch because the beach restaurant provides a very good lunch buffet.

The staff were all wonderful. Every staff member we met couldn’t do enough for us to make sure we had a good holiday. We appreciate the dedication and hard work of the staff at the hotel (thanks to chefs, waiters/waitresses, reception staff, yoga/fitness instructor, pool staff, bar staff, beach staff, everyone!)

We were 8 adults and 2 children, staying for 5 nights a the mid.end of september.

The hotel is situated about 20-25 minutes drive from the airport.

Overall our experience was great! There were few things which could have been better, and ill mention them in a bit, but the combination of beautiful corfu and the atmosphere at the hotel were super.

As you walk in the hotel you are greeted with the amazing view of the bay since the hotel sits oh a hill just on top- just stunning!

One thing you cannot not notice is the absolutely amazing service and hospitality. Every staff member was Caring and kind, and all of our requests were answered quickly and efficiently.

As you probably know by now, this is an all-inclusive hotel which basically means u don't need to pay for anything. I attached here some photos which describe the beverages list, since i found out that "all inclusive" is different in a every hotels in Greece. After visiting high class all inclusive hotels in both Rhodes and Crete i must say that the variety of the alcohol here is impressing.

As mentiond above- the hotel sits on a hill overlooking the ocean, and a 5 minute downhill walk from the beach,which is beautiful and well equipped- lots of sunbathing chairs, great bar and service. you can also go and have some water sports offered by a company on the beach.

Every night the hotel offers activities for both children and adults which were really nice.

The food is also very good, plentiful with great variety. Not something you have never tasted like before, but good quality overall.

One thing that could have been better are the mattresses- very very soft and you could feel the springs on it. Personally i had a back ache almost every morning. Tested the other mattresses as well- were pretty much the same. Also double bad are two singles joined together.

Anyway it was a great vacation and i which we could have stayed longer!

Room tip: views are worth it!

I wish to congratulate the owner of this hotel because we had one of our best experiences ever: the quality of the location (wonderful site, wonderful beach, among palms and olives trees...), the quality of the accommodation (wonderful bungalow, quiet and comfortable), wonderful hotel (excellent quality of the food, without quantity restrictions) but, over all, the quality of the working people and of the services made our stay at Daphnila Bay Hotel unforgettable. We appreciated a lot the customer orientation of all the working people, always smiling and always ready to help. I really congratulate the owner because our judgement is: Excellent, also with reference to the price.

We have just returned from a ten day visit to the beautiful Daphnila Bay.

On first arrival we were greeted with enthusiasm and a smile. The concierge made us feel welcome and settled, despite the late hour. We were driven to our bungalow where we found a complimentary buggy for our toddler, a cot bed and a baby monitor. Very helpful.

First impressions of the room were not good: a peach and white "Cave" with dim lighting, stone floors and brown bedding. After one day my view changed; this set up is a necessity! Wet clothes, sandy feet and shoes, inflatables, sandy buggy wheels, etc. would destroy any "Niceties", the room also allowed an escape from the extreme heat we experienced during our trip.

As mentioned in some other reviews the air con is on the noisy side, but a little tinkering with the fan settings fixed this.

The whole resort is spotlessly clean. The cleaning ladies toil all day, and do a great job.

Food, throughout our stay, was very good. Something different every night and all well prepared and good quality. Dessert lovers are very, very well catered for!

We used both a la carte restaurants, and can not fault the food in either. The service though was laughably slow. In both, after an hour of sitting in the restaurant, we had yet to receive our main course; if the meal at the Olive Tree were free then I wpuldn't have been bothered, but we had 300€ of "Extras", there were only 3 tables being served . This was unfortunate as the service everywhere else is rapid, efficient and friendly (Maria and her team are outstanding).

The animation team are friendly, although I didn't join them as these false team building entertainments are not for me.

The pools are clean, warm and not over-chlorinated. The beach is simply beautiful, warm and very very clean.

There is a lovely diversity of nationalities: lots of Russian (as was most of my party), Polish, Dutch, French, Italian, German and American.

The entire resort does suffer from on major problem (or rather millions of them): wasps. They are everywhere: beach, beach restaurant, beach bar, room balcony, main restaurant oustide area, poolside, front of hotel, a la carte restaurants....the list goes on. My wife was stung twice, if it'd been our toddler we may well have been far more angry about the situation. To be honest, this was enough to drop the hotel from "Very Good" to "Average", there is simply no excuse for not dealing with these pests. Being able to see nests in the rafters of thr restaurant is not acceptable.

Some reviews complain of the climb from beach to hotel/rooms. This really isn't a big problem, as long as you have even a moderate level of fitness. I pushed a buggy up and down (from top to bottom) at least three times a day with no issues. Besides, with the buffets and booze on offer you'll need the exercise!

Overall this was a lovely holiday, with the staff being the biggest plus point (genuinley), but speed up the a la carte teans. Rooms need a little TLC (also, sort out the unstable hot water), but nothing major. The wasp situation would be enough to prevent me recommending this hotel, despite the overall positive experience.

We are sorry to hear that you had to deal with some inconveniences during your stay. Regarding wasps, there is a continuously procedure that our gardeners follow during the season, using biologic environmental friendly products, in order to avoid all the kind of mosquitos and bees. However, as we are surrounded by lush vegetation, it is not possible to make them totally disappear.

It was supposed to be a family holiday but to be honest it felt like a Russian bee hive. But first thing first. The staff - some better, some worse but they generally took their time. The way to the beach was long but the way back to the hotel was even longer - in the sun and climbing up a steep hill holding your aligator. It was paved with uneven concrete so it was very easy for the kids to fall down and hurt themselves. The bus/shuttle is simply a car that can take only one family per ride and doesn't ride very often. The family bungalows have no sea view - the view is your neighbours' door. There is no sitting area just one uncomfortable armchair. No table, no desk apart from the one outside. And if you decide to sit outside in the evening make sure you make friends with insect repellent and your Russian neighbours. And don't plan for a morning lie in - the wonderful cleaning ladies (and I mean it) will push their not so wonderful cleaning carts over the not so even pavements and rattle all their cleaning arsenal. Not to mention the gentleman with the leaf blowing machine early in the morning. You also know when the air conditioning is on and not only by the temperature... Yes! You guessed! The noise. And I don't mean the delicate hum. No... It was so loud that we couldn't be inside with it on. But it was the same with bathroom ventilation and our neighbours' bathtub/shower.
The good points: the height of the toilet seat: for an adult it was to low but for kids it was ok. Cleanliness - it was clean which is not so simple with all the sand. Grecoland staff - helpful and open. However the facilities were a little old, some broken or not maintained properly. The food - good but sometimes too fancy. Like if they tried everyday to come up with something new to make the guests awe. But sometimes the simple dishes are better.
