Hostesses super friendly, but the food is really disappointing. Tasteless and under seasoned , for R310pp one would expect a variety of seafood like some calamari or prawns, way too mush fish. The Crayfish was the worst I have ever had,,chewey and bland. The home made bread, roosterkoek and Jams were delicious.
not worth the visit.

Celebrated my husband's birthday with friends here and had a lovely Sunday afternoon at Die Strandloper.

Enjoy what is probably one of the best ocean views in Langebaan over an ice cold glass of wine while listening to the sound of the waves breaking on land just a few meters in front of you.

Personally, I am not a huge fish fan, but this is one of my husband's favorite restaurants and it was his birthday after all and turns out, I enjoyed every single bite of the delectable spread - hearty seafood soup with freshly baked bread, farm butter and jams, followed by the main of ocean fresh fish and calamari, salads and to end of the meal - "moer" coffee with koeksisters (a very traditional South African sweet pastry).

Excellent alternative to the traditional bricks and mortar restaurants.

Beautiful scenery. Interesting setting with a 10course meal. Eat eat eat and eat!!! Really great vibe and atmosphere. You can take your own drinks. Toilets not great but bearable, the portable kind, so know this before you go. This is on the beach, not in a hotel. Otherwise most awesome!!!

What an amazing place! All of 10 courses are really tasty and all prepared on the fire: go easy on the (delicious!) homemade bread, you want to keep space for the crayfish which comes at the end! The staff is beyond friendly, the place is awesome (you cannot be any closer to the water), the singer with his guitar is incredible and goes from table to table, everything is prepared in a traditional way... If you want some great seafood, are not afraid to eat with your hands and are looking for a truly authentic African experience while having your feet in the sand, this is the place for you! I loved that they are not pretending to be something they are not: the place is what it is and it is awesome! Been in South Africa for 4 years and this has become one of my favourite places!

We went there on 1st April 2018. This is very Down to Earth Restaurant, we had a great time there. Important- do not eat a lot of the bread, actually do not at any bread, let the ladies fillet your harders as the scales are still on the skin.. Take small portions, do not eat with your eyes as well. Then you will enjoy all 10 courses.

Ps... Ladies I took Photos of you at the bar.. (Specially the lady in White- I must send pics to you still)
