This is the 3rd year we rent a cabin in Akaslompolo and it has been the best stay ! The cabin is cosy, well equipped and decorated with taste. It is situated in a quiet part of town but at the same time, it's only a 15 mn walk to the shops and restaurants. Access to internet is a welcome +. We were a party of 7 with 2 young children (of 3 and 7) and we had a lovely time. The weather was also good to us and we enjoyed some really crispy and sunny days. We are not the skiing type but we enjoyed long hikes in and around Akaslompolo (that one can do with or without snow shoes). One of the new trails we did this year was the one up the Kuer fell and we definitely recommend it. The views from the top are stunning !

“fabulous cabin, a home from home”

we traveled with our 2 teenage children for a last minute getaway. The cabin in a great location quiet yet only a short walk to the supermarket and bars. The cabin is so well equipped for a family, it is a real home from home, the wifi and netflix were a bonus. Peter the owner was extremely helpful and had left a really useful information pack. We would definitely recommend the cabin and Akaslompolo, in fact we plan to book again for next year.
