The hotel stands to benefit with the fact of proximity to the gates of Kaziranga National Park. It was one of the main reasons to book our stay here.

The property is large, but needs a lot of work to keep up to the current standards. It's clean but looks pretty worn out. The rooms are spacious, however the dim-dull lighting kept a gloomy effect with the early sunsets. We stayed here for 3nights, since we also had a day trip to Hoollongapar Gibbon sanctuary.

The buffet breakfast was decent. I enjoyed a dinner at their Assamese speciality restaurant Bhatbaan. The restaurant manager will suggest the right options based on your taste.

The staff are polite and courteous but the room service is slightly laid back. We had to call multiple times for water bottles. Also for some strange reason they don't have the front office staff during early morning hours. We had an issue with the jeep in our morning safari and there was no one to help us. We raised this during check-out, but didn't get a proper reply

Room tip: Ask for the garden facing view

It was a family weekend getaway...the kids' first such out station visit after the Corona scare... But Iora didn't disappoint us... we stayed in the suite ...kids loved the ample space in the rooms.. cleanliness was top class too... but Bhatbaan (menu and taste) used to be definitely better earlier... breakfast buffet also can be improved..

Iora has a beautiful campus. However, this time we were disappointed with the service. There was a wedding going on in the campus so the children's park was dismantled. Movement of hotel guests was restricted due to the wedding and loud music was played. our children could not play or move around in the campus and the music was disturbing for other guests. Anyone who wants to go to Iora, make sure there is no wedding or conference going on because then hotel guests are treated as second class citizens. However, the food is good.

Outstanding food in luxurious settings very close to Kaziranga National Park. The ethinic flavors of Assam are meticulously prepared using local ingrediants and traditional cooking methods, making the wait worth it. The vegetarian platter is deliciously vegan, except for the dessert.
