we stayed three nights at the Stanford Hotel. our room (1101) was fine, though i think almost all the other rooms had a nicer view. (our view had a lot of sea, but also some industrial bits, container shipping port etc. -- no real complaints here.)

we did a long walk, across the bridge, into town, which was interesting, if not always beautiful.

I stayed two nights in this very new hotel. It is a lovely hotel situated on the hill near the new Music Hall of Tongyeung. This is supposed to be the best and only 5-star hotel in the city of Tongyeung. You can enjoy a spectacular view of the harbor of Tongyeung from your room. Here are some of my observations.

Pros:
a. Very new and fresh room. I occupied a double room at the corner and it was very spacious and the room was well furnished.
b. There are a few defects in the design of the hotel. The closet is just too small and you can hang a maximum of 2 jackets and two shirts. The length of the closet is short so your trousers will hang folded when you hang them on the rack. I could not believe that the designers did not know of the ways guests might use the closet.
c. Whenever you turn on the light in the bathroom, the fan in the loo will be automatically turned on with a rather loud noise and it is rather annoying.
d. Elevators often stopped and not operating. I was staying on the 16th floor and I had to walk down on the emergency staircase all the way down to the ground floor.
e. The staff at front desk need some smile on their faces. They were there standing like human robots with no smile or emotions on their faces. I don't think they were unfriendly but they looked just uptight and nervous.
f. Breakfast was good but there was only one coffee machine and usually there was a long cue of people waiting for coffee. I suggest the hotel to install another coffee machine.
