Interesting old castle but rather small. Several shops, beautiful gardens and antiques around the castle. The castle lays between two beaches and the view is breathtaking. Worth the visit.

After visiting Santa Severa just to see all the cats, stroll along the beach and enjoy the castle from the outside, we finally got the chance to visit inside. It is a pity the opening hours are quite limited, but this castle really is a gem and they have made a great effort to make the tour both interesting from a historic perspective but also entertaining with the ghost stories. The tiny church with its stunning frescoes is a real delight. The tour itself is quite rushed which is a shame as there is so much to take in - ideally need to do it twice. Well worth a visit, it will not disappoint.

Small but interesting old castle, a museum inside of it, several shops with hand-made souvenirs, beautiful gardens and antiques around the castle..
The place is interesting because it lays between two beaches and the view is incredible from both sides!
Great place to stop and visit if you go to see the italian coast or passing by it..

Visits to the Castle are by guided tours only. I had an excellent guide, the videos that were running in several rooms are very good at explaining the history of the site from pre roman times.
