We stayed at The Stacija Hotel for 3 nights following our island hopping cruise.
The location is fabulous, on a lovely promenade which stretches for miles and right opposite the sea.
The hotel offers easy access to the airport (10 minutes) and harbour ( 30 minutes ) by the number 37 bus which runs every 20 minutes and costs just 13 Kuna.

We arrived at the hotel at 11am on Saturday 25th August, to the worst welcome ever !!
Each time we approached the blond receptionist we were instantly brushed aside with an abrupt “checkouts only”
After around 40 minutes of an endless steam of guests waiting to checkout, we were eventually able to leave our luggage and were free to explore the area.

We stayed in 105 a Superior Sea View Double with two floor to ceiling tilt and slide windows offering fabulous sweeping views over the bay. The bathroom was spacious and modern with a good powerful shower. The towels were a thin quality and no toiletries other than hand soap and shower gel are provided.

The cold breakfast buffet was adequate, but The Croatian speciality Sakshuka was delicious. Eggs, omelettes and garden salad was also available to order.
The most disappointing aspect of this hotel, apart from the worst welcome ever received is that after breakfast service the kitchen closes until dinner service at 6pm, and you’re unable to purchase even a salad or sandwich for your lunch !
Also we asked if we could keep our room for two extra hours on our last day, checking out at 1pm, no problem replied the blond receptionist that will be 1/3rd of your 160€ room rate, hotel policy !
Never have we been asked to pay for an extra hour or two, every other hotel we’ve stayed in worldwide has offered this as a goodwill gesture.

If it wasn’t for the outstanding, professional service and fabulous lunch restaurant recommendations we received from the most friendly Slavka on the reception desk we would’ve given The Stacija 3 stars.

On a small backstreet outside of Split, couldn’t get any closer to the water. Small family run hotel with very modern makeover. Staff were superb, food was good and the band playing outside by the bar by the sea as we arrived on the Sunday afternoon was storybook. The rooms are a good size and the hanging balconies are absolutely divine - try & book one of these. I can’t wait to get back to stay at this hotel again.

The hotel looks very beautiful from the outside. It is located half an hour drive from Split, directly on the Adriatic sea with a seaside promenade.
The ladies at the reception were kind and helpful, especially the blond one (sorry for forgetting the names). The other lady was unfortunately very slow in check-in. The whole check-in time took us more than 15 min.
The rooms were spacy and modern.
The breakfast was basic and had amazingly fresh fruits as well as bread and cheese. Eggs can be ordered as well. I had the impression that the breakfast missed something. There were only croissants and I was expecting to see some Croatian specialities (Bureki or the like) as the breakfast looked purely continental and lacked a Croatian touch.

All in all a good hotel located halfway between Trogir and Split and 10 min from Split Airport.

Like many other reviewers we stayed here both prior to and after an island-hopping cruise. The location is perfect, close to Split and the airport but away from the hustle and bustle of both. It is a new hotel next to the sea, is spotlessly clean and serviced by the best staff you’ll ever meet. All are young, very friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfasts are buffet style, light lunches available and superb dinners on the terrace are a must do. Bedrooms are modern, a good size and with well equipped en suites. Front rooms have a sea view, some with their own balcony and rear rooms have a garden view. There are several interesting places within easy walking distance along a sea front path and Trogir is accessible by local bus. Altogether a gem of a hotel and location.

Room Tip: Any second floor sea view facing room with own balcony.

The hotel was just perfect for what we wanted. We needed a nights accommodation in/near Split having just got off a cruise, and before we flew out of Split Airport early the following morning. We chose Hotel Stacija because of it’s closeness to the airport.
On a very hot day we arrived well before check in and were able to leave our bags with reception. We then took full advantage of the sea in front of the hotel to cool off, in between coffees and drinks in the beautifully positioned hotel bar/cafe. Our room was spotless, modern and comfortable. It was at the rear of the hotel, so it didn’t have sea views, but it did have a balcony and was very quiet.
We enjoyed a lovely evening meal on the terrace of the restaurant. Service throughout was superb. Even though we were only there for one night, we were made to feel like really valued customers. A nice touch was the lunch pack that was made up for us because we were leaving before breakfast.
Just a short transfer to the airport in the morning.
We could not fault this hotel.
