Also known as Naval Beach Villa. Please don't be put off by the price quoted on TripAdvisor. We paid $15 a night for a room.
I really can't fault this place. A proper hidden Gem. Situated on a tiny stretch of land between the ocean and lagoon, only 5km from bus station (approx. 250ruppees). The current description on TripAdvisor does not quite encapsulate what changes/improvements they have made. As well as the main house they have four new bungalows recently built all with fans and ensuites. There is also an outdoor kitchen and eating area for all to use. It really is very relaxed and peaceful.
The owners are absolutely lovely. They really couldn't do enough for us. They also provided bikes to get around which helped. They also have a washing machine you can use.
Now as this place is not slap bang in town we bought most of our groceries before we arrived, however there are a couple of small shops walking distance and several larger ones (including a bottle shop) only 2kms on the bike. I believe there is a small restaurant somewhere nearby however we did not look for it.
Please note the beach is lovely however as it's not near resorts it also has litter on it. Not as bad as I was expecting however enough for some people to complain.
So to conclude, if you want somewhere very chilled, near the beach with lovely hosts, plus the ability to cook for yourself look no further. Would be great for a group of friends or even a family too. It's more than worth what they charged.
First of all, it has to be said.
This place is quite a distance from anything.
Saying that, it's still only about 250rps from the bus station.
But it's worth it.
The place is beautiful, clean and the people who run the place couldn't be nicer.
There are now more rooms attached, some are ensuite and there is a kitchen if you want to cook.
The let us just use their washing machine for free, which was nice.
So if you're looking for a chilled place to relax I can't recommend this place enough.
