The cottage was very clean and cosy, the beds pillows etc were exceptionally comfortable,a large TV which was a bonus as usually you get very small screen, short walk into Edale with two good pubs, loads of walks from cottage,Crista was very helpful in advice for walks and there are printed walks and maps from the cottage done by Andre and are very easy to follow, views from windows of Man Tor Hollins cross, watching the changing weather along the ridges,Had a great time and would go back,
We enjoyed our holiday at Brown Bread Cottage, It is very well equipped and you can walk from the door. There is a very useful folder in the cottage with walk outlines and map directions- so something for every day. Dog friendly pubs in Edale - again in easy walking distance. We enjoyed walking to Castleton during the day- where again, there are lots of dog friendly places to eat. We also recommend the No Car Café- an enjoyable trek and well worth it.
Overall, an excellent cottage with good views.
Brown Bread cottage is in a wonderful spot with walks straight from the door in several directions. The cottage was well- equipped and cosy with a wood burner for cold days. We really liked the private garden which had fab views of the hills. The walk to the pub was easy and the atmosphere in there (Nags Head) was lovely. All very dog-friendly too which was a real bonus.
